Tori Spelling reveals 90210 costar Shannen Doherty wore the bloodstained dress she lost her virginity in to Ryan Ozar:’We used to share everything!’

Tori Spelling has revealed that her former Beverly Hills, 90210 costar Shannen Doherty borrowed the dress in which she lost her virginity in a candid new conversation.

Spelling, 50, who played Donna Martin on the show, lost her virginity to her first serious boyfriend Ryan Ozar who she dated between 1991 and 1993.

On the MissSpelling podcast, Spelling revealed that the garment had a “large blood stain” on the back.

She said: ‘Remember the Betsy Johnson dress you wore in our biggest cast photo? It was black and floral,” Spelling asked.

“We used to share clothes, everything” before Doherty said: “Are you trying to tell me you lost your virginity in my dress?”

Spelling replied, “Um, no, I’m going to say you wore the dress I lost my virginity in.”

‘I told you. I literally said, ‘There’s a bloodstain on the back,’ and you said, ‘I don’t care.’

Doherty said: “It had been cleaned. I just don’t think they took that stain out or anything. . . We were going somewhere and I had nothing to wear, so I borrowed that dress.

This comes after the pair recalled the end of their close friendship on Monday’s episode of the Let’s be clear podcast.

Ahead of their reunion, Doherty, 53, said she worked hard to remember the “pivotal moment” that broke their bond.

Spelling, 50, admitted that her passive personality may have contributed to the “demise” of their friendship.

“You were always easily influenced,” the Memphis native agreed. “And it was very frustrating for me, because I always told you, ‘Yes, Tor, have an opinion.’ For example, you are smart, funny and talented.”

She continued, “I loved you and I respected you and I wanted you to believe in yourself as much as I believed in you.”

Doherty said she believes one of Spelling’s ex-boyfriends, who remained unnamed, also drove a wedge between them.

Spelling then described that boyfriend as “abusive” and “an addict.”

“There was a point — I specifically remember looking at you and saying, ‘You have to end it with him or I’m actually going to kill him. Like, I can’t keep watching this,” Doherty recalled.

After a trip together to Mexico, at the time, with their respective boyfriends, Doherty recalled that they “started to drift apart” because Spelling “wasn’t breaking up” with her troubled boyfriend.

“You stayed and were tortured for a while,” Doherty said.

Eventually, Doherty recalls that Spelling began to feel “like others” in their cast, which included Luke Perry, Jennie Garth, Jason Priestley, Brian Austin Green and Ian Ziering.

Doherty recalled some tense moments between her and the rest, including when she was chosen to pose with Perry and Priestley for the cover of Rolling Stone in 1992.

The Charmed star reminded Spelling that she was one of “several cast members” who sat her down and told her not to “do covers without the entire cast.”

Spelling, who did not remember the incident, apologized.

“I’m sorry,” Spelling said. ‘I could not do it [speak up]. I still can’t stand up for myself sometimes – at the age of fifty.’

Spelling said at the time that when she was young, she tended to follow “whoever was the alpha.”

‘I don’t think I could stand up for myself… I didn’t take responsibility for anything. So it’s, you know, nice, nice, nice to everyone. But it’s like you said: have a damn opinion about something. And I’m sure I did,” the mother of five said.

During their time on Beverly Hills, 90210, there were rumors of behind-the-scenes conflict and Doherty left the program in 1994.

Doherty’s choice to leave was discussed by the star and their costar Jennie Garth, who played Kelly Taylor, on an episode of their 90210MG podcast in July last year.

The 51-year-old actress admitted: “I definitely wish Brenda would have stayed on the show, but I don’t know where they would go with her character.”

Spelling added, “If I’m going to answer as a fan, we’re going to go into the show now and watch again. Yes, I would have liked it to have worked out so that Brenda could have stayed.

“Because she was in it and out of the context of what was going on at the time, there probably had to be a break because there was just… the energy, you know, she wasn’t happy.”

When asked about being on set, the mother-of-five said: “A lot of people weren’t happy. I think it affected everyone and that’s why the energy on set became toxic.

“I’m not saying she made it toxic, just everything that’s going on.

‘So it needed a break. “But yeah, if we had caught our breath and everyone had calmed down and settled down, it would have been really nice to have Brenda come back,” the actress added.

Last month, Spelling shared a throwback photo of her and Doherty laughing hysterically during a night out at The Roxbury.

“Very few people can make me laugh,” she captioned the image. “You’ve always been one to do that. Completely turned around. Smile like no one is watching. But ironically, everyone is. So. Let’s continue.’
