Tori Spelling recalls kissing actor John Corbett at Christmas party

Tori Spelling has revealed that she once kissed actor John Corbett at a Christmas party – while she was ‘kind of dating’ her Beverly Hills, 90210 costar Vincent Young.

The actress, 51, opened up about the racy hug during her latest episode Spelling error podcast.

Tori, whose father, Aaron Spelling, was one of Hollywood’s most successful producers, explained that while she was growing up, her family would annually celebrate an “epic” party the day before Christmas with a slew of Hollywood stars.

And she admitted that she ran into John, now 63, at the party one year and we immediately hit it off.

After an evening of “getting to know each other,” Tori confessed that they cut each other off as she walked outside with him.

“My parents threw the most epic Christmas Eve party in the entire city. Just like the Kardashians, but on a smaller level,” she presented.

‘My father was always looking for new talent that he tried to put on shows [by inviting them to the party]so they would come.

“This is before Sex and the City, but John Corbett came along. And he and I really hit it off, and I remember having a kiss with him on Christmas Eve.”

Tori explained that although John had not yet been cast in Sex and the City, he was already a “big TV star” having starred in the series Northern Exposure.

She added that her father wanted him “in something” he was producing, but John never did because he joined Sex and the City shortly after.

“It was a full kiss, but it wasn’t a long kiss,” she continued. ‘It took place outside. He left the party and I walked with him because we had been hanging out all night and getting to know each other.”

She added that John “called” her in the weeks that followed and even tried to ask her out, but she turned him down because she was “kind of dating” her Beverly Hills, 90210 costar Vincent.

“I felt so foolish because I was dating, but I wasn’t dating…Vincent Young at the time,” she said.

“That’s why John called me and we were supposed to go on a date, but I didn’t answer.”

Elsewhere during the episode, Tori also spoke about an nasty “brawl” that broke out at one of her family’s Christmas Eve parties between her then-boyfriend Nick Savalas and her fellow Beverly Hills, 90210 star Luke Perry.

Tori explained that Luke felt that Nick, whom she dated from 1992 to 1995, was not “treating” her well.

She said the actor “was like a big brother to her” and “couldn’t stand” to see her go through a “bad” relationship.

“There was an infamous fight at one of the Christmas Eve parties between my ‘evil friend’ Nick and Luke Perry,” she revealed.

‘He fought him and [Jason Priestley] it broke up. Everyone had enough. Luke was like a big brother to me when I was young.”

Tori explained that things got physical after Nick approached Luke at the Christmas Eve party and tried to talk to him.

‘My parents didn’t love him, my friends didn’t love him. Some people would tolerate him out of respect for me,” she continued.

“Jason was more neutral, even if he didn’t like him. But Luke couldn’t hide it. If Nick said hello to Luke, he would just look at him and walk away.

“I don’t know what exactly happened, but I think Nick approached Luke… I don’t know what happened next, but there was a fight and Jason had to break it up.

“Luke loved me so much that he thought, ‘I can’t handle this anymore. I can’t watch you treat her this way.’

‘It was horrible because Nick said, “I’m leaving, I’m gone,” and I said, “Please don’t leave.” It wasn’t a good situation.’

Tori added that she and Luke “didn’t talk” for a few months after the altercation, which made things tense on set.

“Luke and I didn’t speak on set for months. I was angry, I was upset. Of course he was right and was just trying to protect and save me, but I was young and foolish,” she stated.

But ultimately, she said her castmates “had an intervention” to “get her out of the relationship.”

She remembered Luke telling her after they made up, “I couldn’t watch you go through this, you are family to me and it wasn’t okay to see how this man treated you.” I couldn’t take it anymore.’

She added that everything is now “fine” between her and Nick, and that they are still “mutual” decades later.
