Tori Spelling says she had to leave the house she was renting after mold was discovered, which explains why she and her family were in poor health for months.
Describing the disturbing turn of events on Instagram Wednesday, the 49-year-old Los Angeles resident said she took the youngest two of her five children, Finn, 10, and Beau, six, to an emergency medical facility near Thousand Oaks, California. had to bring. since both were sick.
“Here we are again at Urgent Care,” said the Beverly Hills, 90210 star. “We have all been in this perpetual spiral of illness for months now. Sick. Better. To get sick again.’
She said that while she initially thought ‘that’s what happens when you have young kids in school’ who are ‘just constantly bringing home illnesses’, given the circumstances she came to suspect otherwise.
“When it got to the point where they were more sick at home than at school, we had to reassess what was going on,” said Spelling, who played the role of Donna Martin on the hit ’90s series.

She continued, “Kids will be kids, but when your youngest (10 and 6) is so sick they sleep all day and say they’re dizzy even when they stand, I knew something bigger was going on.”
Spelling, who is also mum to children Liam, 16, Stella, 14, and Hattie, 11, with husband Dean McDermott, 56, said she contacted a mold specialist ‘who came out and discovered extreme mold in our house’ .
Spelling said “all the pieces started to fall into place” in regards to the illnesses the family continued to suffer while living in a house with moldy conditions.
“Has anyone ever had yeast infections?” she said. “You just keep getting sick, one infection after another. Respiratory infections. Extreme allergy-like symptoms too and like my poor Finn also rashes.’
The daughter of the late TV producer Aaron Spelling said her son Finn had a fever that reached 103 and had strep throat as a result of the fungus-related infection.
“We now know that when the house was labeled a health hazard and not livable, that wording was FACT,” she said. ‘We get it now! It’s hard to just uproot a huge family, especially in the midst of everyone feeling so sick and in bed. But, we’re going to leave the house as soon as possible now.’
Spelling said she and her family sought accommodations through a hotel, Airbnb or Vrbo home until they could “even understand what to do.”
“We’re just tenants, so it seems moving is also in our eminent future,” she said. ‘Grateful that we have contents insurance. We wouldn’t know how to handle this without it.’

Spelling was also critical of the public school district that presides over the schools her children attend, saying officials “repeatedly” did not believe they were sick “as they have continually been.”
She added, “Just let them show up at school, right? Has anyone had fungal disease? The deeper dive I do online unfortunately I see how often this happens.’
Spelling has detailed health issues that her family has come across via Instagram in recent months, as three of her children were treated in a hospital for various ailments in January.
