Speak against Insiderthe fitness expert explained that because of his Pilates background, he believes in starting your exercises with a core workout to get your body ready for what’s to come.
He noted that if you engage your core muscles at the beginning of the workout, they’ll feel the burn for the rest of the exercise, and this can help prevent injury.
The trainer told the outlet, “It’s more about longevity and injury prevention than anything aesthetic, but the aesthetic value definitely comes because you focus on it so specifically and then integrate it into everything we do.”
Higgins previously revealed the nine-minute ab circuit he had the actors playing Ken dolls do to keep their cores chiseled.
The circuit consists of seven parts – each done for one minute.
The workouts include rollback, leg lift, two step crunch, crossbody crunch, rope climb, windshield wiper and static dead bug.
He told GKthat the cast loved both competitive workouts and challenges.
“It created a sense of ‘we’re all in it together’ which helped with motivation,” he said.
He revealed that Ryan’s favorite part was the challenges.
“Ryan loved the plank challenge and the pull-up challenge,” he shared.
“Simu and Ncuti were more into the push-ups and specific abdominal cramps we did. Everyone got very competitive.’
