Florida Democratic Rep. Jared Moskowitz urged Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer to call for a vote on Joe Biden’s impeachment following the Republicans’ new impeachment report.
House Republicans released a sweeping new report Monday that they say shows President Joe Biden, 81, “committed crimes that are grounds for impeachment.”
“Comer finally finished his book report. He worked really hard on it. He’s got a little green star on his star chart,” Moskowitz, a member of the Oversight Committee, told DailyMail.com in an interview at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago.
“There’s no evidence against Joe Biden. Joe Biden has done nothing wrong. But if they’re so persistent, right?” Moskowitz continued.
“Well, call for a vote. I asked for it. He refused to support it. What are we waiting for? Tick-tock, James.”

Moskowitz has long been an opponent of Comer on the committee, with the Kentucky Republican even calling him a “smurf.”
Republicans have spent nearly a year investigating impeachable offenses by a president who ultimately decided not to seek re-election. Moskowitz predicted they will now move to drop their investigations into the Biden family and target Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate.
“They wanted to close this so they can now open more fake votes. Investigations now into Tim Walz, someone they didn’t even talk about until he became vice president.”
The nearly 300-page report details Republican findings from the past two years about the Biden family’s alleged profit of more than $27 million from Hunter and James Biden’s shady business dealings through “influence trading.”
It also details allegations that the Justice Department slowed federal investigations into Hunter for gun and tax crimes.
Impeachment leaders will present the report to the full House of Representatives, and Republican leaders will have to decide whether to hold a vote on impeachment in the House.
Chairman Mike Johnson praised the report but did not announce whether he would put the impeachment to a vote.
Moskowitz, an outspoken pro-Israel Democrat, also dismissed concerns that a Harris administration would be less friendly to Israel than Joe Biden.
“You know, people are trying to get that out there, but there’s been no change in policy, nothing. If you look at the platform, it’s pretty much the same platform as it was in the past, the DNC platform.”
“It’s one of the most pro-Israel platforms we’ve ever had. And so I don’t expect any change from the vice president in terms of policy toward Israel.”

On Friday, Comer launched an investigation into Walz over his ties to China.
In a letter sent Friday to FBI Director Christopher Wray, Comer (Republican of Kentucky) expressed concern that Walz was “susceptible” to the influence of the Chinese Communist Party, to the “detriment” of Americans.
He describes the intimate relationship between the Minnesota governor and the hostile nation, emphasizing that the former schoolteacher made an estimated 30 trips to the country, including many excursions organized by him and his wife.
Comer is demanding that the FBI hand over any documents it may have about Walz’s communications with Chinese agencies and officials so it can investigate the potential vice president’s close ties to the communist country.
Comer wrote to Wray: “It has come to the attention of the Committee that Governor Walz has long-standing ties to agencies and officials associated with the CCP. This makes him susceptible to the Party’s strategy of capturing the elite. This strategy is to co-opt influential figures in the political, cultural, and academic elites to influence the United States in favor of the Communist regime and to the detriment of Americans.”
In the letter, the Kentucky Republican wrote that when the governor was still a teacher, he set up a company called Educational Travel Adventures, Inc. to take students to China.
The group was run by Walz and his wife Gwen and organized tours from 1994 until its dissolution in 2007, Comer said.
In addition to the excursions, the Walzs even spent their honeymoon in China, just five years after the Tiananmen Square massacre.
The Democrat called his experiences during his visit to the country “wonderful” dozens of times.
