I’ll stay with you, darling, for a thousand years. Nothing will touch you in these golden years.
The post comes a month after Toni announced her split from Dave, to whom she was married for 20 years.
The couple’s breakup was made public when Dave, who was a drummer in an indie rock band when he met the About a Boy star, was photographed passionately kissing chiropractor Shannon Egan on Manly Beach in Sydney.
Always believe in your soul. You have the power to know that you are indestructible,’ she reads to herself, in part. ‘I’ll stay with you baby for a thousand years. Nothing will touch you in these golden years,’ she finished.
Daily Mail Australia contacted Toni’s management about the photos, and hours later they announced the couple’s split in a joint statement posted to their newly reactivated Instagram account.
“It is with grace and gratitude that we announce that we are divorcing,” the couple wrote.
“We are united in our decision and we part with continued respect and care for one another.
Toni was seen with a friend at an Elton John concert in Sydney last week, a rare sighting for the famous actress.
“Our children are of the utmost importance to us and we will continue to thrive as a family, albeit in a different way. We are grateful for the space and love you give us as we evolve and move peacefully through this transition. Thank you.’
The pair met in 2002 at the launch of Galafassi’s band’s debut album Metal Detector in Sydney, their second meeting coming just a few days later at a house party.
They married with Buddhist rituals at their estate in Berry, on the south coast of New South Wales, less than a year after they met, in January 2003.
Their daughter Sage Florence was born in January 2008 and their son Arlo Robert in April 2011.
The post comes a month after Toni announced that she had separated from her husband after nearly 20 years of marriage.
