Toni Collette looked dejected on Friday as she arrived at Perth airport following her shock split from Dave Galafassi after 20 years of marriage.

The Muriel’s Wedding star, 50, kept things casual in an understated pair of beige slacks and a brown long-sleeved shirt as she pushed her luggage through the terminal.

She paired the look with simple gray sneakers with bright orange lace-ups before donning a black cap on top of her head.

Her final accessories included long gold necklaces stacked around her neck and a black handbag that sat on her body.

Pushing three huge suitcases, it looks like the award-winning actor will be staying in Western Australia for a while.

Outside, Collette had a driver waiting who helped her load her luggage before she went on her way.

The actress’s trip to Perth comes just over a month after her separation from her husband Galafassi was made public.

Galafassi, who was a drummer in an indie rock band when he met the About a Boy star, confirmed their split in December when he was photographed passionately kissing chiropractor Shannon Egan on Manly Beach in Sydney.

Daily Mail Australia contacted Collette’s management about the photos, and hours later they announced the couple’s separation in a joint statement posted to their newly reactivated Instagram account.

‘It is with grace and gratitude that we announce that we are getting divorced. We are united in our decision and part with continued respect and care for one another,” the couple wrote.

“Our children are of the utmost importance to us and we will continue to thrive as a family, albeit in a different way.

We are grateful for the space and love you give us as we evolve and move through this transition peacefully. Thank you so much.’

The former couple met in 2002 at the launch of Galafassi’s debut album, Metal Detector, in Sydney, with their second meeting occurring a few days later at a party.

They married with Buddhist rituals at their estate in Berry, on the south coast of New South Wales, less than a year after they met, in January 2003.

Their daughter Sage Florence was born in January 2008 and their son Arlo Robert in April 2011.
