In the caption, she also explained how she had to “fight tooth and nail into a position” she wanted to achieve.
“I never really openly address how this industry (including the public) has failed me, until now, as I worked tooth and nail into a position that I statistically deserved, but which the first glance was always substandard. attack,” she wrote.
“I remained calm amidst the hate, threats and body shaming and continued to keep my head down and find my happiness in human interactions.

‘I sing about dreams, but have never added any insight into how to achieve yours. That is my fault and honestly it was purely based on my lack of confidence in the weight my words would carry,” she continued.
‘For a long time I was a ‘song’ and not a person, and for many people I still am. That’s fine by me, but for the people who care, I have more to give, which I always have, but you just didn’t want to see it.”
Tones ended: ‘So my name is Tones, my album is just beautiful, it’s coming out on August 2nd! it’s nice to meet you.. again.’
