Tommy Little designs $129 hoodies for homeless youth charity

Tommy Little designs a limited edition hoodie with profits going to homeless youth and admits that while they’re pricey, there’s a very good reason for it.

Tommy Little has designed a new limited edition hoodie with the charity HoMie, which aims to help young people in Australia facing homelessness.

And while the comedian has admitted that the $129 hoodies are expensive, he believes it’s worth it, as all profits go to young people who are homeless.

A homeless young person also receives his own hoodie for the first 3,000 copies sold.

Speaking on The Project about his limited edition hoodie, he said, “They’re a bit expensive, I’ll be honest with you, but there’s a really good reason for that.

Because champion [Sports] have come on board and they have said that for the first 3,000 we sell, they will donate a hoodie to a young person who is homeless in the affected services.

The TV and radio personality has been an ambassador for the nonprofit for several years and announced on Tuesday that his limited edition hoodies are now available for pre-order on the charity’s website.

All proceeds from the hoodies go to the Melbourne charity and they come in six different colours.

The radio host posted a photo of herself in the black design and wrote, “This year’s #hoodiesforhomelessnes campaign is now live!

“I designed a limited edition hoodie with HoMie and all profits go to struggling young Australians.

1 in 4 Australians currently homeless are aged between 12 and 24.

“All proceeds from these hoodies will be used to help these young people get out of homelessness.

“For every hoodie purchased, one will also be donated from @championausnz to a young person who is currently homeless.”

The hoodie was launched as part of Youth Homelessness Matters Day, which takes place on April 19.

Nick Pearce, co-founder and CEO of HoMie, said in a statement about the day: ‘Youth Homelessness Matters Day brings to light an inconvenient truth; that young people across Australia are disproportionately affected by homelessness.

“Together with our incredible partners and advocates like Whitelion and Tommy Little, we are encouraging 28,000 people to wear a hoodie on April 20, to raise awareness and support as they raise money.”
