Tommy Fury has revealed he hates social media despite his fiancee Molly-May Hague working as an influencer.
The boxer, 24, said in a candid new interview that Instagram is ‘not really his thing’ as he spoke about the downsides of being able to constantly compare yourself to others’ lives online.
His wife-to-be Molly-Mae, also 24, – who he met on Love Island in 2019 – can be considered the UK’s most successful influencer and has 7.8 million followers on Instagram.
He said Times of his attitude towards the platform: “Social media is not my business.” I can’t do that, I have to be and do something.
“I’ve never understood that, because I’m not inclined to do that.” Some people are on Instagram to look at the life they don’t have, and then they start to get upset and sad about their own lives.

Fair enough: The boxer, 24, said in a candid new interview that Instagram is ‘not really his thing’ as he spoke about the downsides of being able to constantly compare yourself to others’ lives online (seen with Molly and daughter Bambi)
“But they should not be alarmed.” It’s like, there’s always a level above you. I could look on Instagram and see a billionaire driving 20 supercars, but that’s not going to make me unhappy.
‘If someone is doing better than me, I think God bless you and good luck.’
He added that before he was with Molly-Mae, he had no idea how much work went into an influencer’s social media feed.
Tommy shared how his ‘miss is really good at it’ and he admires her for ‘seeing her putting in the hours’ and working ‘non-stop’ because it’s her passion.
He said that despite not liking Instagram, he will still post to keep up with his fans’ updates because he owes it to them.
Tommy is set to fight his rival KSI at the AO Arena in Manchester on October 14, after defeating YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in Saudi Arabia earlier this year.
And in the chat, he also revealed his dreams of moving into bodybuilding after his boxing career is over.
He told the publication that he was “obsessed” with the idea and that it would be his “next passion”.

Hard: It comes after Tommy revealed earlier this week that Molly-Mae Hague hates boxing and praised her for supporting his career
Tommy explained that he needed to get “significantly bigger” including 20-inch arms, as he said, “I love it.”
It comes just after Tommy revealed earlier this week that Molly-Mae Hague hates boxing and praised her for supporting his career.
Tommy followed in the boxing footsteps of his brother Tyson, and Molly-May made no secret of her dislike of watching him in the ring.
Now, Tommy has further opened up about Molly-Mae’s dislike of the sport, revealing that she only ‘tolerates’ boxing because it makes him happy.
Tommy praised his fiancee for supporting his passion despite her “hating” herself.
He said further BBC Breakfast: ‘She watches the earth while I fight. She only tolerates boxing because she knows how much it makes me happy. That’s it.
“Besides, she hates it. He doesn’t like to talk about it, he doesn’t like to watch it, nothing, which I understand.’
Tommy admitted he understands how difficult it is for Molly-May to watch him – the father of their nine-month-old daughter Bambi – get pummeled in the ring.
“She watches her partner, the father of her baby, enter the ring, fight and punch,” he continued.
‘It’s not a nice feeling, so I commend her, I am.’
Molly-Mae has previously made no secret of her dislike of watching Tommy in the ring and stayed away from TV during his fight with Jake in February.
While at the time the cutie cried when she heard about his win, new mum Molly-Mae couldn’t bear to watch Tommy in the ring.
She remained in the UK with their newborn daughter Bambi, who had been born just weeks earlier, while Tommy traveled to his long-awaited showdown with Jake.
Ali did not watch the fight on TV and her sister Zoe shared a video of her hiding in her bedroom as her family and friends watched the confrontation.
Speaking last year after watching Tommy take on Daniel Bocianski, Molly-May admitted it was “terrifying” to watch her partner get pummeled in the ring.

Family: Molly-Mae and Tommy met on Love Island in 2019 and welcomed daughter Bambi in January this year. They then got engaged just a few months later in July
“I don’t actually watch it – I watch the screen, it’s my way of dealing with it,” she told BT Sport at the time.
“Watching him in the flesh is much more difficult. I watch it on the screen and it relieves a bit of stress, but I have fingernail marks on my hand where they dug in.’
‘It’s just horrible. I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy honestly. The fear of seeing your person in the ring is not nice. It really isn’t,” she added.
