Tom Selleck enjoyed a Magnum PI reunion with former co-star Larry Manetti when the latter filmed a guest appearance on Blue Bloods this week,

Selleck, 78, who played private investigator Thomas Magnum alongside Manetti’s bar owner Orville ‘Rick’ Wright, 75, looked delighted as they posed for a cast shot shared by co-star Donnie Wahlberg, 53. .

Wahlberg wrote: “#MagnumMonday. It’s a mini Magnum PI reunion on the set of #BlueBloods this week, with guest star Larry Manetti and Tom Selleck, together again.

The snap shows the actors posing with Blue Blood co-stars Bridget Moynahan, Andrew Terraciano, Will Estes and Vanessa Ray.

This marks the first time the pair have reunited on screen since they starred in the CBS drama, which ran from 1980 to 1988.

The series followed Thomas Sullivan Magnum IV, a private investigator who lives in the guest house of an oceanfront property called Robin’s Nest, in Hawaii, and chooses his own cases to investigate.

John Hillerman, who played wimp Jonathan Higgins to Selleck’s happy-go-lucky detective Thomas Magnum, died at the age of 84 in 2017.

Roger Mosley, who played Theodore ‘TC’ Calvin on the series,he died at the age of 83 in August 2022.

The Los Angeles-born actor died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center from injuries in a car accident in Lynwood, California.

His character, Calvin, was the owner of a helicopter business called Island Hoppers. He had previously worked on the film Terminal Island with Selleck, who recommended him for the role.

Magnum PI was rebooted in 2018 with Jay Hernandez playing Magnum and Zachary Knighton as Wright, Manetti had a cameo appearance in 2019 as Nicky ‘The Kid’ DeMarco.
