Tom Holland reveals he’s in a ‘Spider-Boys’ group chat with Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire
Seven-time Spider-Man star Tom Holland has been in a special group chat with three-time Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield and four-time Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire since they all played Peter Parker together in the 2021 multi-verse movie Spider-Man: No Way Home.
“We have a great bond as three people who have been through something so unique that we really are like brothers,” the 27-year-old Englishman revealed in his THR magazine Cover story comes out Wednesday.
“We have a nice group chat and catch up every now and then. It’s called the Spider-Boys.’
The Spider-Boys’ final interaction when Tom asked the 39-year-old Englishman and the 47-year-old LA resident to sign a movie poster to be auctioned at his family’s Brothers Trust charity Gala Trivia Night at February 9th.
“They were clearly willing to help,” Holland recalls.

The Crowded Room producer star said ‘it was great’ filming their top secret scenes in Jon Watts’ widely acclaimed superhero three-quel, which grossed an eye-popping $1.922 billion worldwide on a $200 million budget.
Tom was especially relieved to finally have an in-depth conversation with Andrew, who he regrets never calling when he beat 7,500 contenders for the role in 2015 at the age of 19: “It’s because of my naivety as a child. .. I wish I ‘had called him.’
Holland also regularly comes to his real-life neighbor Benedict Cumberbatch for career advice, and has been known to play golf with fellow Marvel man Chris Pratt and fellow Uncharted producer star Mark Wahlberg.
The former child star was “a little worried” during meetings for the next Spider-Man movie with producers and Marvel execs.
“The first few meetings were about, ‘Why should we do this again?’ And I think we’ve found the reason why. I’m really, really happy with where we are in terms of creativity,” said Tom.
“But I’m also a little nervous about it. There’s a bit of a stigma about the fourth in all franchises. I feel like we’ve hit a home run with our first franchise and there’s a part of me that wants to walk away with my head held high and pass the baton to the next lucky kid who gets to bring this character to life.”
Holland currently serves as an executive producer and stars as serial rapist Danny Sullivan in Akiva Goldsman’s gloomily judged The 10-episode psychological thriller The Crowded Room airs Friday through July 28 on Apple TV+.

The 1979 True Crime series marks the first time Tom staged a same-sex love scene.
“It’s not a milestone, though,” Holland noted.
“It’s not something where I thought, ‘Oh, wow. I have to play my first character with a different sexual preference than I have.’ It’s obviously a bit more complicated than that. It felt very important to tell the story authentically.”
