Tom Hardy and Guy Ritchie looked serious as they shot scenes for their upcoming crime drama The Associate.

Written by Ronan Bennett, The Associate is executive produced by the Venom star, 47, with some episodes directed by gangster filmmaker Guy.

Tom also stars in the series as the titular ‘associate’ Harry Da Souza, who works as a fixer for the Harrigan family.

Filming is currently taking place in London for the series, which is being referred to by two different working titles, The Associate and Fixer.

Longtime friends Tom and Guy were spotted together on the streets of London on Saturday.

The footage comes after production suffered a blow in November when camera equipment was robbed by thieves in broad daylight.

In the photos of the new scenes, Tom and Guy reached a compromise when they managed to feature both of their favorite car brands in the photos.

Guy, a loyal fan of Range Rovers, and Tom, an Audi enthusiast, made sure both luxury vehicles were prominently featured, with the director arriving in a sleek Range Rover, while the actor took the wheel of an Audi.

In other photos, Tom was seen emerging from a building with the sign “Moody’s Boxing Gym.”

Plans for Ronan and Guy’s new series were first revealed this year, with the Lock Stock director also appointing Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan to star in it.

The synopsis says it will follow the story of “two generations of gangsters, the companies they run, the complex relationships they maintain, and the man they turn to to solve their problems.”

It comes after thieves managed to escape with the film set’s camera equipment while production crew and security were on site in London.

In November, it was reported that two men in the Toyota Prius distracted people by asking for directions before making off with the expensive equipment.

Speaking about the incident, a source said The sun: ‘Their questions distracted people and at that moment the other guy jumped out and grabbed a bag of camera equipment that was on the side of the road.

‘He jumped back in the car and they drove away. The guards started eating bananas because they had essentially been robbed in broad daylight. It was quite embarrassing and a costly mistake. The kit for those films isn’t cheap.’

And in December it was revealed that Tom had recently offered to pay the wages of an entire TV crew for the new Guy Ritchie series after a construction company went bust.

But about 50 freelance construction workers were left devastated after Helix 3D, the construction company contracted to build sets, went bankrupt, The Times reported.

It is said the company then refused to pay out £250,000 in wages before Christmas, with CEO Brian Dowling sending the devastating message last week that their wages were unlikely to hit their accounts before New Year.

It was only when star Tom stepped in and offered to pay the workers’ wages that Paramount resolved the situation and began sorting their paychecks.

TA source close to Tom told me The times: ‘He offered it [pay]but production and Paramount arranged payment.”

Meanwhile, a Paramount source said they were “outraged” by the situation and plans were in place to ensure workers were paid.

In a letter seen by the publication, Chris Hudson, organizing officer of the Bectu broadcasting association, said: ‘Our members deserve to be treated with dignity and respect and compensated for their work in a timely manner.

‘It is completely unacceptable that they are facing significant financial uncertainty, especially in the run-up to Christmas.

“On the eve of Christmas, our members are rightly in deep distress, and many fear they will not be able to afford the necessities of life.”
