Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson celebrated 35 years of marital happiness on Sunday.
Rita, 66, shared a photo of the couple sharing a cake, with happy birthday written on it.
Tom, 66, who is writing a novel inspired by his career, also watched his wife fondly as they sat on a terrace.
“Married 35 years,” wrote the Pink singer. “April 30, 1988. Love is everything.”
Dozens of their A-list friends sent congratulations for reaching the milestone.

Rita and Tom both produced Greek Wedding movies and are producing the upcoming My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3.

The couple first met when Rita was cast in an episode of the TV sitcom Bosom Buddies and never imagined they would end up living with one of Hollywood’s most respected couples.
Tom was marred with his first wife at the time when he starred in the comedy alongside Peter Scolari.
The show followed two junior advertising executives who dressed up as women so they could live in the only apartment they could afford.

They met again a few years later when Rita was cast as Tom’s love interest in 1985’s Volunteers.
The future Oscar winner starred as a spoiled rich kid who joined the Peace Corps to avoid a gambling debt.
After divorcing in 1987, the Money Pit star started dating his future wife and they got married in 1988.
Tom had two children from his first marriage, Colin, 45, and Elizabeth, 40. They expanded their family and welcomed sons Chester, aka Chet, 32, Truman, 27.
In a 2001 interview with Oprah, the Philadelphia star spoke about his troubled childhood and what it felt like to build a life with Rita.
“I was married into a classic old-fashioned family structure where people like to spend time together and arrange their lives in ways that allow them to. That wasn’t part of my existence until then,’ he explained. “It’s such a benefit to be involved in the day-to-day details of each other’s lives. It’s a wonderful material to exist in.’

The Forrest Gump star continued, “The success of our relationship was a matter of timing, maturity, and our willingness to have an intimate connection.”
“When I married Rita, I thought, ‘This requires some change on my part.’
“I won’t deny that providence was part of our finding each other, but our relationship isn’t magic – as it’s shown in movies. In real life, our connection is as concrete as I sit here. Not that marriage doesn’t come close to being hell in a hand basket sometimes. But we both know we’ll be together no matter what — and we’ll get through it.”
Because of that strong foundation, the couple has been able to overcome health challenges, such as Rita’s breast cancer diagnosis in 2015. She had a double mastectomy and was able to recover without chemotherapy or radiation.
The Love is Love is Love star told it New York Timesher husband never left her side and the experience brought them closer together as a couple.
Collaborating: Tom and Rita collaborated on the hit romantic comedy Sleepless in Seattle. They have continued to collaborate on various projects, including producing the My Big Fat Greek Wedding franchise

There’s more to come: the pair continue to collaborate on a variety of projects. Rita performed the theme song Til You’re Home from her husband’s movie A Man Called Otto. They’ll appear in the upcoming Asteroid City, which debuts on June 23
“You never know how your partner will react in a situation like this,” she revealed. “I was so amazed, so blown away by the care my husband gave me. It was such a normal, intimate time.”
Both were diagnosed with Covid-19 while Tom was working on Elvis in Australia in 2020. They were some of the first known people to get the disease.
“Rita has had a harder time than me,” the Pinocchio star said in an interview with the radio host Randy MilleR .
“She had a much higher fever. She had lost her sense of taste and smell. I had some aches in my body and was very tired, and that’s how the COVID-19 went through us.”
The pair continue to collaborate on various projects. Rita performed the theme song Til You’re Home from her husband’s movie A Man Called Otto. They’ll appear in the upcoming Asteroid City, which debuts June 23.
