Tom Cruise looks in good spirits as he drops off mystery woman at London’s Chiltern Firehouse before heading off in his limo

Tom Cruise proved to be quite the gentleman on Wednesday night when he dropped off a mystery woman at the Chiltern Firehouse in London.

The actor, 62, appeared in good spirits as he got back into his limo after apparently giving the woman a lift to the celebrity hotspot.

Dressed in a dark coat, the Mission: Impossible star was accompanied by the burley security guard as the unidentified lady stepped onto the sidewalk and walked away.

She wrapped herself up against the cold weather in a fluffy white coat with a hood, paired with flared jeans and platform shoes.

But while the woman was seemingly on her way to dinner, Tom clearly had other things on his agenda as he wasted no time in jumping back into his car and driving away.

It is unknown whether Tom’s encounter with the mysterious lady is on a romantic level. The movie star is believed to be single, although he was recently linked to Spanish singer Victoria Canal, 26.

However, in August she dismissed “completely crazy” reports that she was dating the Hollywood hunk.

MailOnline has contacted Tom Cruise’s representatives for comment.

Tom’s outing comes shortly after he paid Timothee Chalamet a surprise visit at the screening of his upcoming Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown, in London on Tuesday.

The Valkyrie star joined Kylie Jenner’s 28-year-old boyfriend at the Ham Yard Hotel for the UK Awards presentation of Searchlight Pictures’ new film about the legendary singer-songwriter.

Cruise – who previously wrote Chalamet an ‘inspirational email’ – stopped by the event and was photographed with the young leading man.

The Hollywood legend shook Chalamet’s hand and later pointed to him as a proud mentor, keeping an arm around his shoulder.

The action superstar showed off his effortless style in a navy button-up, blue jeans and black boots.

Meanwhile, the Dune actor – who plays Dylan in the film – wore a striped long-sleeved shirt, black jeans and a moustache.

The duo also posed for group photos with the rest of the cast, including Monica Barbaro, Elle Fanning and director James Mangold.

At the event, Fanning, who stars as Sylvie Russo, looked chic in a black blazer, leggings and knee-high boots.

Meanwhile, Barbaro was business chic in a gray pantsuit and white top.

Cruise has been a champion of Chalamet’s rise, even once writing him an “inspirational” email that seemed “like a rallying cry.”

Last year, Chalamet revealed the advice he received from the Hollywood icon when he appeared on the cover of British GQ magazinethe November issue.

The actor shared that the Top Gun star sent him a “wonderfully inspiring” message with a list of experts he could use for stunt training.

Chalamet added that Cruise, who is famous for his own stunts in films, told him it was “up to him” to learn those skills to advance in his career.

He said: “After I met Tom Cruise, right after finishing the first Dune, he sent me the most wonderfully inspiring email,” adding that it contained a Rolodex of all the experts he could need for stunt training , including a motor coach and helicopter coach.

Chalamet’s performance as Dylan has been described by critics as ‘exciting’; he can be seen in a still from the film

“He basically said that in old Hollywood you would get dancing and fighting training, and no one will hold you to that standard today. So it’s up to you. The email actually seemed like a rallying cry,” Chalamet added.

Chalamet then expressed his admiration for Cruise, saying he went to Tom’s critically acclaimed sequel Top Gun: Maverick eight times.

He also said that he even rented a movie theater in Budapest and brought the entire cast and crew of Dune to see it.

“Top Gun was extremely inspiring to me last summer when we were making Dune. Some of the crew thought it was a bit ridiculous to go, but I just thought it was one of the best films I’ve ever seen,” the star added.

Chalamet’s latest performance as Dylan has been described by critics as ‘exciting’.

The Oscar nominee, who did not have a single meeting with the Like A Rolling Stone hitmaker, 83, before playing him, has been praised for saving the film despite its shortcomings.

The film focuses on Dylan’s early career, his transition from folk to rock and his iconic performance at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival.

Brian Viner of The Ny Breaking said, “Director and co-writer Mangold has created a compelling film, focusing on those crucial few years between Dylan’s arrival in New York City in 1961 as an anonymous teenage troubadour from Minnesota.”

Later he continues: ‘But A Complete Unknown is still a triumph and an entertaining reminder that, love him or hate him, Dylan is still one of the most influential musicians of the past 70 years. And Chalamet, 28 years old, is much more than a pretty face.’

“It has a lot of similar strengths [as Walk the Line] but several weaknesses, although Timothée Chalamet’s thrilling – by all accounts – lead performance is not among the last,” wrote David Rooney of The Hollywood Reporter.

Rooney added that “neither the film nor the actor soften the harshness of a creative genius whose callousness towards those close to him often stands in stark contrast to the humanity in his songs.”
