Tom Burgess is slammed by footy fans for ‘disgusting’ act in South Sydney win over Bulldogs

Tom Burgess is slammed by footy fans after he was caught grabbing the Bulldogs star’s genitals in ‘grub act’, leaving him in a heap while tearing up their NRL rivals in South Sydney

Tom Burgess has found himself in the thick of it with footy fans after appearing to grab a rival player’s genitals during South Sydney’s win over Canterbury.

Latrell Mitchell stole the show at the Accor Stadium when he grabbed a hat-trick to help Jason Demetriou’s side to a dominant victory over their NRL rivals on Good Friday.

But eagle-eyed fans saw a grub act from the England striker in the 12th minute of the second half as he left Bulldogs star Josh Reynolds in a heap after appearing to squeeze his genitals with his left arm.

However, Referee Gerard Sutton did not see the incident and the Bunker did not watch it either, and Burgess’s act went unpunished.

Still, he hasn’t won favor with NRL fans on social media, who have been quick to condemn the 30-year-old.

“Funny that Tom Burgess can’t hold balls most of the time,” one fan posted. ‘What a mess.’

“I already had the ball. Decided he had to get two more,” said another.

“What an absolute grub act this was from Burgess,” a third fan added.

It is not yet clear whether the incident is being investigated by the judiciary.
