Does Tom Brady have the Midas touch?

The 45-year-old Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback announced his retirement Wednesday with prerecorded video apparently filmed on a public beach in South Florida. By Saturday, bids for a bottle of sand, purportedly from the same location in Surfside, were approaching $100,000.

And that’s just one bottle.

Other impersonators soon followed on eBay, picturing bottles of sand against the same backdrop Brady was sitting in when he said he was retiring after 23 seasons.

But despite the market being flooded with Brady grit, the price for the original artifact continued to rise and the deals are expected to continue for another week.

The Brady Arena Market was created by a TikTok personality, Betr Carol, who is trying to recoup some gambling losses.

“I was a fan of Tom Brady for a long time and I’m actually sitting exactly where he retired this morning,” Carol said in the video. You can see the buildings, they are exactly the same.

Just then, Carol reveals a bag of sand.

‘Every dollar I lost betting on you this season, I’ll get it back because I’m going to sell the arena you sat in when you retired. So thank you, Tom Brady.

On eBay, Carol helps prove the authenticity of her sand jar by photographing it against the backdrop of Brady’s retirement video. She also includes a copy of the February 1 issue of The New York Times to prove that the photos are recent.

The video he released Wednesday morning was filmed at least a day before he posted it on social media, though he apparently told the Bucs his final decision at 6 a.m. Wednesday morning, about two hours before Post your video to the world.

That is according to ESPN and NFL Network, who say sources close to Brady say he filmed his retirement announcement video “a while ago.” Besides, the boston globe says Brady told his parents a week ago that he was retiring.

They quoted his father, Tom Brady Sr. as saying: ‘We’re not surprised in any way. He has played soccer for 32 years out of 45, living his dream for three quarters of his life. It has been a wonderful journey. He is very sure of his decision.

NFL Network’s Peter Schrager also tweeted Wednesday: ‘According to sources close to Brady, the video posted this morning was filmed before this morning. It kept him terribly quiet.

Schrager expanded on the news on Wednesday’s episode of “Good Morning Football.”

“That was filmed a while ago,” Schrager said on the show. “I was at a Los Angeles premiere Tuesday night, doing the premiere of the movie [for ’80 for Brady’].

‘The sun is not high in Los Angeles as you see there. That’s a recording, that means he knew this and kept it a secret for at least 48 hours.

Brady posted the video announcing his retirement early Wednesday, saying: ‘Good morning guys. I’ll get to the point right away. I retire, forever.

“I know the process was a big problem last time, so when I woke up this morning I thought I’d hit record and let them know first.”

It won’t be long. You just get a super emotional retirement essay and I used mine last year so… really thank you all so much for supporting me.

‘My family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors. I could go on forever, there are too many. Thank you guys for allowing me to live my absolute dream. I would not change anything. I love you all.’

Brady’s final season ended when he and the Buccaneers were defeated by the Dallas Cowboys 31-14 in the NFL Wild Card round of the playoffs.
