Tom Brady’s former teammate Julian Edelman exposes the ex-quarterback’s ‘guilty pleasure’

Former Patriot Julian Edelman revealed one of Tom Brady’s guilty pleasures from his playing days in New England.

In a recent interview with PeopleEdelman explained how serious his former quarterback was about his diet.

The retired wide receiver elaborated on how he discovered Brady’s strange eating quirk when the Patriots were given the same footing every night before the game.

Although Brady continued to eat as disciplined as possible, Edelman revealed that the seven-time Super Bowl winner occasionally indulged in a single chicken wing.

“Tom always had one chicken wing for his guilty pleasure before we went to bed,” Edelman said. “A single chicken wing.”

As shocking as it may seem, Edelman swore that’s just how Brady operated. He added that his former teammate balanced his meals with 80 percent vegetables and grains and 20 percent lean meat and fish.

“He does live on that diet,” the ex-general said. ‘He practices what he preaches. We used to get into arguments about it all the time.’

While Brady carefully sorted out his vices, Edelman admitted to putting down burgers for his cheat meal.

Edelman joined the Patriots in 2009 and spent his 11-year career in Foxborough. He would be part of three of the Patriots’ six championship teams, with Brady facilitating the offense.

Nearly four years removed from their time as teammates, Brady and Edelman have maintained a good relationship outside of football. Edelman recently took part in Brady’s Roast on Netflix and attended the quarterback’s induction into the Patriots Hall of Fame.

Brady parted ways with New England to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he played three seasons and won another ring before retiring.
