Tom Brady’s potential co-ownership of the Las Vegas Raiders is complicated by the price he received for a 10 percent stake, as well as his upcoming involvement as a FOX Sports analyst.

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay was quoted by the Boston Globe on Thursday about the price Brady quoted. He appeared to be referring to rough numbers, but Forbes has previously priced the Raiders at $6 billion.

“We’re trying to get through it,” Irsay said. ‘The number just has to be a reasonable number for Tom’s purchase price, that’s all. If fair value says 10 percent should be $525 million, you can’t pay $175 million.”

The Globe also referenced a league source who said Brady’s Fox deal for 2024 complicates the deal because “not everyone in the league is comfortable with a minority team instead of also calling games.”

Brady has signed a 10-year, $375 million deal with FOX as an analyst, starting next season.

Brady’s portfolio of activities has grown significantly over the years. In addition to TB12 and Brady Brand, Brady also has interests in several sports franchises.

Brady is co-owner of the Vegas Night Owls in the MLP, Birmingham City FC in the British EFL Championship and the newly crowned WNBA champions Las Vegas Aces.

Brady’s business ventures have inspired the likes of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce to try their luck with ownership.

The Chiefs teammates recently invested in the Alpine Formula One team along with golfer Rory McIlroy. Mahomes also expressed his interest in owning an NFL after his retirement.

As for Brady, his wishes are at a standstill, but not at an impasse. Although Davis has the freedom to sell part of the franchise to Brady at a reduced price tag, the deal cannot be completed without the approval of the rest of the League.

According to the Globe, the next league match will take place from December 12 to 13.
