Tom Brady’s $375m deal with Fox Sports is over, ex-MLB boss claims in stunning attack on Raiders owner

Tom Brady will manage the Las Vegas Raiders full-time next season and will not return as an analyst for Fox Sports.

That’s according to former MLB executive David Samson, who says Brady’s attempt to combine both jobs is an “absolute insult” to analysts and team presidents alike.

Brady is in the first season of a 10-year, $375 million contract as the NFL’s lead analyst at Fox Sports.

But he is also a minority owner of the Raiders, with Mark Davis recently revealing he will have a “big say” in the future of the franchise.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion will reportedly play a major role in the search for Antonio Pierce’s replacement after the Raiders head coach was fired earlier this week.

Brady’s role with the Raiders means he’s already bound by certain rules, but according to former Marlins president Samson, he won’t be behind the microphone after this season.

David Samson believes Tom Brady will lead the Las Vegas Raiders full-time next season

The former Marlins president says Brady will not continue his $375 million deal with Fox Sports

“Tom Brady is running that team right now — the NFL knows it and Fox knows it and something has to be done. So enjoy Tom in the stand, because you won’t see him there next year,’ Samson told the Dan Le Batard Show.

“He will be in the Raiders front office, he will not return as an analyst for Fox – you can’t be that involved in the running of a team and be the No. 1 analyst.

‘What he is doing is an absolute insult to analysts. And it’s an insult to the team president what he’s doing.

“You end up doing them both in a mediocre way… and I promise you he’ll choose the Raiders.”

When asked to clarify if that was an assumption or information he was told, Samson added, “Tom Brady will not be with Fox next season, he will be in the Raiders front office full-time and running that team. Period.’
