Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have company now, but they don’t seem to mind at all.
Early Thursday morning it was announced that fellow A-lister, Tom Brady, had added a minority stake in EFL Championship team Birmingham City to his ever-expanding portfolio.
And ahead of Wrexham’s first game of the season on Saturday, Reynolds and McElhenney were asked by Sky Sports News about Brady’s football arrivals.
“I know Tom a little bit and I don’t think you have to know him to know that he has the mind of a lion and a competitor in every shape, form and form,” said Reynolds. “Whatever he’s come up with for Birmingham, he’s going to bring it. Come in, the water is warm!’
McElhenney was then asked if he had any advice for seven-time Super Bowl winner Brady and he had his own funny answer.

“I would never give words of wisdom to Tom Brady about professional sports. But Tom, if you have any advice for us, send it our way!’.
It comes after a source close to Brady told the DailyMail.Com exclusively: ‘He’s seen what Ryan Reynolds did to Wrexham and is doing to Wrexham and he wants a piece of that for himself,’ said the source close to Brady.
“He will fully support (Birmingham) in his time as co-owner, he is all in and will do everything he can to make it work.”
“Tom was going to invest in a football club and become part of the ownership at some point, and Birmingham City was in the right place at the right time for Tom to add to his portfolio of business acquisitions now that he is retired and a much more time on his hands to concentrate on that.’
The 46-year-old will chair the advisory board and assist the club by bringing his knowledge and expertise related to human performance to St Andrew’s.
Under the ownership of Reynolds and McElhenney, Wrexham has boomed and today ends their 15-year exile from England’s top four. The duo are eyeing a promotion from League Two in their first season.
They have also helped Wrexham claim global spotlight through a Netflix series and their regular promotion of the team in the United States and abroad.

Brady is hoping for similar success from the second city club, who face Swansea in the opening game of the Championship on Saturday.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion retired from the NFL at the end of the 2022 season and has since expanded his off-field activities. This includes his own clothing brand and investments in various sports franchises.
Brady already owns a minority stake in the WNBA’s Las Vegas Aces. He also had plans to buy into the NFL’s Raiders as well, until the league’s new rule blocking the distribution of stock to employees jeopardized that deal.
