‘Do you want to play tight end for us tonight?’: Tom Brady tries to recruit baseball star Aaron Judge when the Bucs quarterback admits he ‘gave him his best pitch’ before staging a late win

Tom Brady tried to re-sign star slugger Aaron Judge before the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ dramatic victory over the New Orleans Saints on Monday.

Social media went into a frenzy after the former New York Yankees superstar appeared at the game with speculation about the free agent’s future.

And it looks like it’s not just the Yankees and San Francisco Giants who are interested in drafting him, as the Bucs’ star quarterback Brady was also involved.

Brady joked that he “gave it his best pitch” with Judge’s future currently up in the air.

Brady and Judge shook hands and hugged in the tunnel before Tampa Bay’s 17-16 win, with the NFL star asking, “Do you want to play tight end for us tonight?”

It is unclear what Judge, who was wearing a Mike Evans number 13 jersey on his visit to the stadium, said in response.

Brady posted a clip of the meeting on his Twitter profile Tuesday morning, saying he “gave him his best speech ever.” She also thanked Judge for coming to the game.

It’s not the first time the 45-year-old has answered the question.

The baseball player was a guest on Brady’s weekly Let’s Go podcast in October.

It was no secret that Judge’s contract at Yankee Stadium was running out at the end of the season and Brady put an option on the table.

“Having such an incredible year and now on the brink of free agency, I was wondering what it would take to bring you to Tampa to be a tight end for us next year,” Brady said. ‘It looks pretty good to me – the way it runs, the size, the grip radius, the power!

‘I know you were a great football player in high school. Baseball turned out pretty good for you, but we may need to look into this two-sport athlete.

Judge joked that he was interested, saying, “We can get a nice little split contact, we can figure out a way to work this out.”

‘You give me a few looks in the red zone and then I can go and hit some home runs. If Tom throws me touchdowns, sign me up to play for free.

The American League MVP enjoyed a record-breaking season with the Yankees, smashing 62 home runs in the regular season, but his future is currently up in the air.

The Yankees and San Francisco Giants are supposed to be the top candidates to acquire him, and it’s been reported that he has an eight-year, $300 million contract on the table with the Bronx Bombers.

Yankees general manager Brian Cashman has admitted he faces “danger” in losing Judge.
