Fox Sports has named Tom Brady to the booth for this upcoming season’s Super Bowl LVIII rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49erse.

That’s according to NFL Insider Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, who said the game will be played on October 20 (Week 7) in San Francisco.

It was announced Monday that Brady will make his regular season debut for the Week 1 game between the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns in Ohio, along with veteran commentator Kevin Burkhardt.

The two-time defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs face a tough test to open their season after CBS on Tuesday announced Kansas City’s Week 2 opponent as the Cincinnati Bengals.

The league also announced that Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets will open their season on ESPN’s Monday Night Football on September 9 by traveling to play the NFC champion 49ers.

49ers QB Brock Purdy will seek revenge after he and his teammates lost by three points in February.

Prime Video later announced that its Thursday Night Football schedule will kick off in Week 2 with an AFC East showdown, with the Miami Dolphins hosting the Buffalo Bills on September 12.

The Bengals, with Burrow back as their quarterback after a season-ending wrist injury, will travel to play Kansas City on September 15 in a late afternoon outing. The game follows the league’s announcement on Monday that the Chiefs will open the NFL schedule. host the Jackson-led Baltimore Ravens on September 5 in a rematch of last season’s AFC title game.

The meeting against the Bengals brings together two teams that met in back-to-back AFC championship games, with Cincinnati winning in 2021 and the Chiefs winning the following season.

The NFL releases highlighted portions of its schedule ahead of the competition and unveils the full schedule Wednesday evening.

The Jets open Monday Night Football for the second consecutive season after a 22-16 overtime victory over the Buffalo Bills last year, which became Rodgers’ celebrated but injury-shortened debut in New York. Rodgers attempted one pass, which went incomplete, during an opening sequence that ended with him rupturing his left Achilles tendon. He was sidelined for the rest of the season.

Rodgers is on his way back to training without restrictions once the Jets begin voluntary spring sessions next week.

This season is Prime’s third since taking over the Thursday night broadcast, and begins with a rematch of last season’s finale, in which Josh Allen and the Bills defeated the Dolphins 21-14 to give Buffalo its fourth consecutive AFC East title. It also relegated Miami to the AFC’s sixth playoff seed. Buffalo has won four straight meetings and 11 of 12 against Miami, including a wild-card playoff victory two years ago.

The league previously announced that the Green Bay Packers will face the Philadelphia Eagles on September 6 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It will be the first time in more than 50 years that the NFL will play a game on Friday evening of opening weekend.

The game will be streamed on Peacock and also air on NBC affiliates in Philadelphia, Green Bay and Milwaukee.

The competition will announce the dates and opponents for the four international matches in Europe on Wednesday morning. Jacksonville, Minnesota and Chicago are the designated home teams for the games in London and Carolina heads to Munich, Germany.

In a departure from previous seasons, CBS and Fox will not both have a doubleheader in Week 1. Fox will have it for the opening week, followed by CBS in Week 2.
