Tom Brady is already counting down to next season, when the seven-time Super Bowl champion begins his rookie season as an in-game analyst for Fox Sports.
The retired quarterback spoke with ESPN’s Pat McAfee on Tuesday to promote the confirmation of the move, which had been widely reported over the past year.
“I’ve been to the Fox studios a few times and I’m very excited to join a great team,” Brady told McAfee.
“Next year I’m going to host a Super Bowl for Fox, which is going to be incredible,” Brady continued.
The former New England Patriots star signed a 10-year, $375 million deal with Fox Sports in 2023 to take over as Fox Sports’ top analyst in 2024.

The former University of Michigan star said he spent the 2023 season talking to announcers to learn the ropes.
“I’ve talked to a lot of broadcasters from this whole season, just learning from them, the current broadcasters, the ones that have been doing play-by-play analysis. It was really fun,” Brady said.
‘I’ve been in touch with a lot of nice people, I’ve gotten great notes. I could probably write a broadcasting playbook right now. But it’s something I’ve challenged myself to do, and I’m really looking forward to playing games for Fox starting in September.”
Brady replaces Fox Sports’ Greg Olsen, who will move into the network’s second spot on the analyst depth chart.
Olsen is currently the network’s top in-game analyst, and the former Carolina Panthers tight end was praised by Brady for his work on Tuesday.
“Greg Olsen is doing a fantastic job and I have so much respect for him,” Brady said.

Fox Sports has not yet announced any specific assignments for the 2024 season, but Olsen spoke to The Athletic in 2023 as if he expected Brady to replace him as the network’s lead analyst.
“I knew very well what I was signing up for,” Olsen told The Athletic last year. ‘I’ve always said I’m a big boy. I understand the rules of engagement. … All I can do is try to be as best as humanly possible and make it very difficult (for Fox Sports management).
“I jokingly and humorously said to (Fox Sports executive producer) Brad Zager and (Fox Sports chairman) Eric Shanks over a beer, ‘I’m going to make it very difficult for you.’
“I’d be doing those guys a disservice and I’d be doing a disservice to myself and my team if I half-heartedly said I’m just a placeholder until (Tom) Brady comes in and takes my spot. That’s not in anyone’s interest.’
