Tom Brady has opened up about the stress of watching NFL games from his couch while still coming to terms with adjusting to “a totally new life” as a retired quarterback: “I just want to pull my hair out and going ‘what the fuck is going on?”!’
The 46-year-old, seven-time Super Bowl champion revealed what it’s like to suddenly become a regular football fan after 23 seasons in the NFL, in the wake of the Patriots’ crushing Week 5 (3-38) loss this weekend to the Dallas Cowboys.
In conversation with Jim Gray in the latest episode of his podcast ‘Let’s Go!’ About Apple, Brady said he finds it “hard” to “just play games” these days.
“When you’re part of a loss, you don’t care about anyone else’s losses. You just care about your loss,” he added.
“When you win, you look around and say, ‘Okay, who else lost?’

‘Football is a tough sport. It’s incredibly tough and once again I was in it and had a really big impact on every game.”
Brady, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in NFL history, further clarified that he never really thought about what it would be like to one day watch footage from the stands or from his home.
“I have no influence whatsoever on any match,” he said of this year’s league action.
“I didn’t have that perspective, even when I was playing.
‘This is a completely new life that I am now living as well… 32 years of playing and now I am on the outside looking in.’
