Tom Brady sits next to Novak Djokovic’s wife during the French Open final

NFL legend Tom Brady had a prime viewing spot for the French Open final between Novak Djokovic and Casper Ruud on Sunday.

The retired quarterback sat next to Djokovic’s wife Jelena in the tennis star’s box on the Philippe-Chatrier court as the Serb clinched a historic 23rd Grand Slam title.

Brady looked trendy in a navy T-shirt, tan jacket and sunglasses, while Jelena was a vision in pink to cheer on her man.

Djokovic became the first man ever to win 23 tennis Grand Slams by defeating Norwegian Ruud in straight sets.

Djokovic revealed in 2021 that he and the seven-time Super Bowl champion had been friends for some time and bonded over their sporting prowess.

“I was very close with Kobe Bryant, as well as with Monica Seles, Andre Agassi and Boris Becker, who were my coaches, and with Pete Sampras. I’ve talked to them many times and I talk to Tom Brady regularly about training and recovery,” said Djokovic. tennis majors. com.

“I make an effort to take the opportunity to share with all athletes, things that have helped or hindered me, and I ask questions, especially those who have reached the pinnacle of their sport.”

Brady, 45, had also been to France the day before to attend the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans race.

While enjoying Djokovic’s amazing skills, Brady had shown his own earlier in the day. He proved why he won all those rings by accepting a challenge from American YouTuber MrBeast.

In a clip shared by the NFL, Brady attempted to smash one of MrBeast’s drones into the sea from the deck of the yacht.

Brady was seen warming up his winning throwing arm before his daughter Vivian jokingly told him, “Dad, you’re going to miss.”

The NFL icon laughed and admitted that he probably would, but that he clearly picked up the football bug again, joking to the camera that if he hit the drone on the first try, “maybe I should retire to go’.

And of course Brady did just that. He launched a one-throw missile over the sea toward where the drone was hovering, reportedly hitting the target with a bang on the first try.

For his next trick, Brady tried to make a pass at a man who was racing towards the yacht on a jet ski.

Again, Brady was on target, but his wide receiver fell short of the standards the signal caller was used to in the NFL and dropped the ball in the water.

Since retiring for the second time in February, Brady has repeatedly shut down reports that he was making another U-turn.

Brady has since become a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, but a source told Dailymail.com that he still feels like playing, even if it’s one he can’t scratch.

“Tom misses football, loves to play and would love nothing more than to compete on the biggest stage again and win another Super Bowl. But as great as those thoughts sound, he’s made the decision to retire from the NFL once and for all,” the source told Mail Sport.

“He now has an ownership interest in the Raiders and while he is very familiar with the coaching staff in Las Vegas and the fact that the Super Bowl will be played in Vegas next season, it is very unlikely and close at this point. to impossible that Tom would come back next year to play for the Raiders or any other NFL team.

“At the moment, his other entertainment and business ventures, as well as the fact that he will be a future play-by-play announcer for FOX, are really taking up all of his time.”

Brady will enter the broadcast booth in Fall 2024 with FOX — with whom he signed a $375 million deal — while also owning an eponymous clothing brand, Brady Brand.

Furthermore, Brady also has his own fitness and nutrition brand, TB12, and started production company 199 Productions in 2020.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion also fathered 15-year-old son John Edward Thomas, aka “Jack,” from his two-year relationship with Bridget Moynahan, which ended in 2006.
