Tom Brady roasted over Lamar Jackson comment after Ravens QB’s touchdown against Cowboys

Tom Brady is still taking his first steps as an NFL commentator and was widely criticized on Sunday for his lackluster analysis of Lamar Jackson.

The Ravens quarterback sprinted into the end zone for a nine-yard touchdown against the Cowboys in the first quarter, and Brady gave a pretty banal review of the play.

“How fast is Lamar? Fast,” he said.

And the fans were not impressed with that analysis.

“Tom Brady is stating the obvious, as if he’s making a groundbreaking discovery,” one of them said on X.

“Terrible comment,” added another.

“Other news is that water is wet,” added a third.

Another fan pointed to Brady’s lucrative 10-year, $375 million deal with Fox.

“Give this man another 40 million dollars,” they said.

Brady’s debut as a commentator on Fox Sports in Week 1 was a bit of a rocky one.

When he described the Cowboys’ win over the Browns, he was quickly lambasted by some fans with a strange statement: “It’s hard to get 10 yards, but really hard to get 20.”

He admitted before week 2 that there were ‘still some things to tidy up’.

However, he received better reviews in his second game, when he was back in the booth for Cowboys-Saints.

Brady made his debut in the game for Fox Sports earlier this month, alongside Kevin Burkhardt

“Tom Brady is already feeling much more comfortable and natural in the booth this week than he did in week 1,” wrote one user on X.

‘The best moment of Tom Brady’s young broadcasting career just happened,’ read another post. ‘After Cowboys rookie WR slips up, leading to INT, Burkhardt asks if Prescott should go back to rookie WR to build trust. Brady: ‘Not today.”

“I regret to inform you that Tom Brady is providing some good, non-clichéd insights into dosage today,” read another tweet in Week 2. “He sounds comfortable, confident, and even enjoying it. Who knew—the murderously competitive man could actually get good at this.”

Brady will be in Tampa Bay in Week 4 for his old team’s game against the Eagles.
