NFL legend Tom Brady enjoyed an illustrious career, but after his second retirement, the former quarterback revealed he doesn’t want his son to follow in his footsteps.
The seven-time Super Bowl winner shares his oldest son Jonathan Edward, 15, — aka Jack — with 52-year-old actress Bridget Moynahan and Benjamin and Vivian with ex-wife Gisele Bundchen.
After finally leaving the football field ‘for good’, the 45-year-old has been able to spend more quality time with his children and revealed that he would support their dreams no matter what.
However, he admitted that it would be easier if their dreams didn’t involve going after him and pursuing a career in the NFL.
When ESPN asked about his oldest son, who also plays quarterback for his high school team, and his hopes for him, Brady shared his concerns about the expectations Jack faced.

NFL legend Tom Brady revealed he doesn’t want his son to follow in his footsteps
The former quarterback said he is concerned about 15-year-old Jack’s “crazy expectations.”
Jack, Brady’s oldest son, also plays quarterback, just like his seven-time Super Bowl winner
‘I hope [Jack] finds the things in his life that allow him to get up every day, to be internally motivated, to work hard at something he loves to do,” said Brady.
“I wouldn’t choose to do that [football] because there are too many crazy expectations that people would place on him – most of them probably very unfair really.’
“We must support our children’s dreams, whatever they may be,” Brady added. It doesn’t have to be sports. It can be anything. It can be performing arts. It could be music. It could be science. It could be a law. It could be a drug.
“I think part of parenting is supporting your kids’ dreams, and now that I have more time on my hands, I’m really looking forward to doing just that.”
Brady also acknowledged the support, time and effort his own parents sacrificed to help him achieve his dreams.
He sketched the camps or spent late nights or early mornings pitching the ball to a field he lived through growing up in the Bay Area.
Despite Brady’s wishes, it seems that Jack has already caught the football bug, as he has been seen throwing pigskin with his father in the past.
The legendary Patriots and Bucs star shared photos of himself at a beach soccer game in March, still in game form while assuming his usual role of quarterback.

In one photo, Brady can be seen talking to his son Jack, who also appeared to be in action with his father’s former New England teammates Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski and Wes Welker.
Jack also trained with Brady at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers training facilities during the 2022 regular season.
The former Bucs quarterback posted a photo to Instagram of Jack, 15, about to throw a football, with the caption, “My inspiration.”
In the blurred background, the father-of-three can be seen in his No. 12 training jersey, looking at what appears to be the Tampa Bay training field.
Brady also posted a series of photos of Jack during practice on his Instagram story. One of them featured the same photo on his account, with the caption, “Fire that pigskin!!!!”
He also shared a photo of Jack wearing a Buccaneers cap, which looks like he’s talking to someone, while Brady has his back to the camera.
While Jack has already taken to the field, Bundchen revealed that Brady’s other son Benjamin prefers “non-ball” sports, such as surfing, jujitsu and skiing, as well as drawing on his iPad.
She told Vanity Fair how hard it is to put the “athletic pressure of being a kid” of one of the greatest NFL players of all time on a kid.
The Brazilian beauty then vaguely refers to “a specific” bullying incident that took place after a Benjamin baseball game.
Bundchen didn’t go into further details, but her former husband rather spoke of how his firstborn Jack “likes sports” while Benny “likes other things.”
Earlier this week, DailyMail.Com reported exclusively that Brady would love to return to the NFL and retire for a second time, but has too many commitments to allow for a return.
A source close to the 45-year-old told Mail Sport: “Tom misses football, loves to play and would love nothing more than to compete on the biggest stage again and win another Super Bowl.

But as great as those thoughts sound, he’s made the decision to retire from the NFL once and for all.
“He now has an ownership interest in the Raiders and while he is very familiar with the coaching staff in Las Vegas and the fact that the Super Bowl will be played in Vegas next season, it is very unlikely and close at this point. to impossible that Tom would come back next year to play for the Raiders or any other NFL team.
“At the moment, his other entertainment and business ventures, as well as the fact that he will be a future play-by-play announcer for FOX, are really taking up all of his time.”
However, Brady insisted he would not retire again later in the week.
“I’m sure I’m not playing anymore so I’ve tried to make that clear and I hate to keep professing that because I’ve told people that many times,” Brady said. Sports illustrated.
“I’m looking forward to my temp job at my FOX next year. I’m looking forward to the opportunity ahead of us with the Raiders — and we’re working on that along with the other various things I’m involved in professionally.”

Brady reportedly got the “blessing” from FOX to investigate investments in the Las Vegas Raiders.
Brady will enter the broadcast booth in Fall 2024 with FOX — with whom he signed a $375 million deal — while also owning an eponymous clothing brand, Brady Brand.
Brady announced his retirement from the NFL on Feb. 1 in an emotional video, insisting that this time he was leaving for good.
During his final season, he announced his divorce from Brazilian supermodel Bundchen after 13 years of marriage. Brady had two children with Bundchen (Vivian and Benjamin), and also has a son with ex-wife Bridget Moynahan (Jack).
