In a heartfelt post on his Instagram Story, Tom Brady talked about his relationship with his father and the game of golf.

The future Hall-of-Fame quarterback left a positive review of author Michael Bamberger’s book ‘The Ball in the Air: A Golfing Adventure’ and spoke about what the game of golf means to him.

“I know you don’t usually come here for book recommendations, but I just finished this one by Michael Bamberger in a day, and it’s a work of art,” Brady wrote.

‘My love of golf comes from the challenge of playing as an amateur, not from winning tournaments or collecting prize money.

‘99% of you have the same relationship with the game. That’s what this book is for.

He used that to talk about what golf means to him and how he got closer to his dad, Tom Sr.

Brady has been part of many elite golf events, including three editions of ‘The Match’

One of the golfers in the book is Sam Reeves. He is an incredible man, I am lucky enough to call a friend.

“My dad is the reason I love this game so much. As the youngest of four, one-on-one time can be scarce as you grow up.

“Memories of walking the track with my dad, enjoying his knowledge of the game and the world beyond, are some of my most vivid to this day. Those are the rounds that made me fall in love with the game of golf.

Men like Tom Brady Sr. and Sam Reeves are the reason why that love is passed down from generation to generation.

“Grab a copy, read it, and get out this weekend before 18. That’s what I’m going to do.”

Brady will have plenty of time to grow his relationship with the game after announcing his retirement in February.

He has played golf at many major venues, including the Pebble Beach Pro-Am and three separate editions of ‘The Match’.
