Tom Brady’s days of looking down on his kids are coming to an end.

The retired six-foot quarterback posted a side-by-side shot of himself and his oldest son, 15-year-old Jack, who appears just inches shorter than his father.

“Not yet a child!!!” 45-year-old Brady captioned his Instagram post. ‘I’m still here.’

Jack is Brady’s only child with former flame, actress Bridget Moynahan, but he also has two children with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen: a 10-year-old daughter, Vivian Lake, and 13-year-old son, Benjamin Rein.

Brady’s eldest has followed him into football, though not at the urging of the future Hall of Famer.

As Brady told ESPN’s Outside the Lines last week, he hopes Jack finds happiness outside of the game, which of course comes with over-expectations when your dad is a seven-time Super Bowl winner.

“I hope he finds the things in his life that allow him to get up every day to be internally motivated to work hard at something he loves to do,” said Brady. “I don’t think about football. See, a lot of it I wouldn’t choose him to do because there are too many crazy expectations people would place on him.

“Most of them are probably very dishonest actually. So whatever path he chooses in his life, my son Benny, my daughter Vivi, whatever they choose, I’m here to support them.”

In October, Brady told his SiriusXM co-host Jim Gray that he really enjoys watching Jack play.

“I think one of the great highlights of my life is watching him play and watch him grow and develop, and my kids in general,” said Brady. So I like to see him dig a little bit deep and most of all [play] team sports.’

As a freshman, Jack played free safety on defense, but was under center on offense, which of course has pleased his quarterback dad.

“I think there are few things in life I could probably help him with. You know, I don’t have many specialties in life other than probably throwing football,” Brady shares. ‘He’s much smarter. He has a great work ethic. He’s just a great kid. But I can certainly help him as a quarterback.

“So going out and watching him play was so much fun for me,” Brady added. “And I don’t care how well he does. I just love to watch him and see him having fun with his friends. And you know, the camaraderie at a young age.”

“I remember when I was in high school myself, I loved being there with my teammates and having pancakes for breakfast on Saturdays. He eats with his teammates on Friday night and that brings out the best in us. So it is really enjoyable, as all parents know, to see their children play.’

Although Brady admitted that he “never imagined” Jack, an upcoming high school sophomore, would play football, he did call him a “grinder” and a “very good athlete.”

‘[He has] great hand-eye coordination. He actually moves better than I do at his age,” admitted the famously sluggish Brady.
