Tom Brady makes his first Fox Sports appearance at UFL Championship after signing 10-year, $375million deal as lead NFL analyst

Tom Brady made his first appearance on the Fox Sports booth after signing a lucrative 10-year contract worth $375 million to become the network’s lead NFL analyst starting this fall.

On Sunday, the legendary quarterback stopped by to join Curt Menefee and Joel Klatt on Fox’s broadcast of the United Football League Championship.

Brady will have his first NFL shift when the Cleveland Browns host the Dallas Cowboys on September 8. Although he wasn’t getting reps as an announcer and analyst yet, Brady seemed comfortable in his new surroundings after trading in the helmet for the headset.

Brady will be in St. Louis on Sunday night to present the trophy to the most valuable player of the UFL championship game between the San Antonio Brahmas and Birmingham Stallions.

Still, Brady provided some insights into both teams’ offense on the field during his pit stop in the broadcast booth.

“They’re all a little different,” Brady said. “You go into these games and there’s a lot of defense right now. You see the defense go out there and play with a lot of energy.”

“But someone’s got to get the ball across the field and open this field up a little bit,” he continued. “There are a lot of horizontal passes and the defense is swarming and trying to knock the ball out.”

“So let them defend every blade of grass,” Brady added.

The Stallions posted a 25-0 victory for the title before Brady presented the MVP trophy to quarterback Adrian Martinez.

Brady’s teaser came just four days after he was inducted into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame. At the same ceremony, team owner Robert Kraft revealed that his iconic jersey number (12) has been retired and that a 10-foot-tall bronze statue will be built outside Gillette Stadium in his honor.

As the seven-time Super Bowl champion (six with the Patriots) sat with tears in his eyes, Kraft noted that Brady’s number is the first to be retired since Bruce Armstrong in 2001.

The Patriots chose to celebrate Brady on June 12 in honor of his jersey number and the number of rings he won with the franchise.

Brady racked up 614 touchdown passes in the regular season and playoffs while racking up 219 wins in 20 seasons with the Patriots.

He parted ways with New England to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he played three seasons and won another ring before retiring.

After his first retirement in 2022, Brady quickly rescinded his retirement to return for a third season with the Bucs. After the 2022-2023 season, Brady announced on social media that he is retiring “for good.”

In addition to his long-awaited broadcasting career, Brady ventured into becoming a franchise owner after his playing days were over.

Brady owns stakes in the Las Vegas Aces, Birmingham City FC in the EFL and Las Vegas Night Owls in Major League Pickleball. He also wants to become part owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.
