Tom Brady made a comment during his appearance in New York City on Friday that referenced the old rivalry with the New York Giants.
Brady attended the first-ever FanaticsFest in Manhattan, where he participated in a panel hosted by prominent media figure Stephen A. Smith.
During the conversation, the former Patriots quarterback appeared to discuss how he wanted to approach his duties as a television reporter.
Brady said, “If I were to do it [for] Myself, if I threw a really bad interception, I’d walk to the sideline and say, ‘You’re the worst quarterback in the world, how could you make such a terrible throw?’
“But I just don’t want to be so critical because I don’t know one way or the other what the problem was on that play, if, let’s say… Daniel Jones throws an interception.

That prompted a mixture of laughter and cheers from the New York crowd, to which Brady immediately backtracked.
“I didn’t mean it that way, I wasn’t even critical of Daniel Jones… maybe I was a little bit,” Brady joked to the crowd.
Brady and the Giants have a notoriously one-sided relationship: the G-Men have defeated “Tom Terrific” twice in the Super Bowl.
New England suffered its first loss to the Giants in Super Bowl XLII. The undefeated Patriots failed to achieve a perfect season, losing 17-14.
Four seasons later, the Patriots and Giants met again in Super Bowl XLVI, with New York again winning 21-17.
Some people on social media took the opportunity to remind Brady of that, with comments like, “Brady’s still bitter about those Super Bowl losses, I see.”
Brady is preparing for his first season at Fox as a commentator alongside lead commentator Kevin Burkhardt.
