Tom Brady has bizarre sideline interaction before calling Tampa Bay-New Orleans game
Tom Brady made a new friend on Sunday when he met the lucky boy from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before their game against the New Orleans Saints.
Before the Sunday Night showdown at Raymond James Stadium, the GOAT hung out with the Duck on the sidelines.
Brady caressed the duck’s breast with the back of his hand while talking to a Bucs employee.
The duck was the Buccaneers’ good luck charm ahead of their regular season finale after superstitious fans credited it with their victory over the Carolina Panthers last Sunday.
The CBS Sports camera crew caught the duck wandering onto the field before returning to the action as the Panthers lined up for a punt.
Johnny Hekker’s punt was then blocked before linebacker JJ Russell recovered the ball for six yards. The Bucs went on to win the game 48–18.

‘Quack, quack – and Hekker blocked it!’ Ian Eagle said during the broadcast.
How the duck ended up on the field remains a mystery, but has since been hailed as the team’s good luck charm.
“That was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen out here,” Tampa Bay receiver Mike Evans said of the bird. “That was our lucky duck.”
“I’ve never seen us block a punt, and then we score a touchdown. When the duck flew across the field, it was amazing.”
With a 9-7 record, the Buccaneers hope to clinch a playoff spot against New Orleans on Sunday. A win over the Saints will make Tampa Bay champions of the NFC South for the fourth consecutive season.
Meanwhile, a loss would crown the Atlanta Falcons if they were to get the win over the Panthers.
