Ahead of his move to broadcasting next year, Tom Brady has received some advice from good friend and former teammate Rob Gronkowski.
Brady, who brought the curtain down on his iconic NFL career earlier this year, will begin his 10-year, $375 million contract with FOX Sports in the fall of 2024 as he prepares to launch his next chapter in TV analyst.
In the latest episode of his Podcast 'Let's go'the legendary quarterback spoke to Gronkowski about his former Patriots and Buccaneers teammate's recent comments while working on TV himself.
Brady joked, “A month ago (Gronkowski said), 'I tried to befriend the backup quarterback because Tom didn't even know my name in his first preseason game.' That's complete bulls***!
“So why is my man Robbie G telling a bunch of white lies here on national television?”

Gronkowski joked that Brady needs to “make the story sound better than it is” as he transitions to broadcasting on the latest episode of his “Let's Go” podcast
Gronkowski then offered his friend some television advice as he explained why he told that false version of events.
“When you get on TV, you're going to change it up a bit, Tom,” he said. 'You have to make the story sound better than it is.
“I knew exactly that you knew who I was.”
Brady and Gronkowski reunited this week to discuss their successful stint in Tampa Bay, as the former Patriots stars led the Buccaneers to Super Bowl glory — and celebrated it in style.
'That boat parade will go down in history as one of the greatest parades of all time!' Brady said of the aftermath of their 2021 championship win.
The three-time MVP and Gronkowski – a former tight end – won four Super Bowl rings in tandem. The first three came with the New England Patriots.
Gronkowski then retired in 2019 before being lured back onto the field to join Brady following the quarterback's move to Tampa Bay.
Together they led the Bucs to Super Bowl glory before enjoying a post-game parade on the waters of Florida.

In an iconic clip, Brady was seen throwing the Vince Lombardi Trophy from one boat to another. “We celebrated it like no other,” said the now 46-year-old.
He also opened up about the move to Tampa Bay – and his efforts to convince 'Gronk' to return to the NFL.
'AAs a free agent, I have to choose which teammates to align with instead of being on a team, and the coach always chooses who comes into your locker room,” the QB said. “When I chose Tampa, I didn't know Robbie G was going to retire. Of course I had hope, but there was no certainty about that.
“He had been retired for a year and then I called him and he said, 'Tampa, huh?' And we went there and we had so much fun. It was Covid, we all had a chance to get to know each other. All our teammates were so excited. We were excited… it was a relief for all of us.”
