Tom Brady brutally hits back at Eli Manning with message to Wrexham AFC owner Rob McElhenney

Hollywood-backed Wrexham take on Birmingham City, the English football team backed by NFL legend Tom Brady, on Monday.

In perhaps the most star-studded League One match in the history of British football’s third tier, other top sports stars also took part, including Brady’s old rival Eli Manning.

After Wrexham’s official account posted Manning in a Red Dragons shirt on Friday, he responded with: ‘Now I can beat @TomBrady in football and soccer! Go for @Wrexham_AFC!’

Brady responded by calling out the former New York Giants quarterback, to whom he lost the Super Bowl twice.

Well-known actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney own the Welsh newcomers, while Brady owns Birmingham City, who were relegated from the Championship last season.

Fox’s current No. 1 commentator, who just started his broadcasting career with a 10-year, $375 million contract, needed a gold trophy to help him attack Manning and Wrexham.

“I’ve been working on our little reaction video for Eli and I’m looking around the house and I can’t find the other six,” Brady said as he held up the Lombardi Trophy.

Although Brady lost both Super Bowl games to the Giants, he won the NFL championship game seven times and is one of the best players in league history.

“Rob, can you give the Wrexham fans a little history of the NFL?” Brady continued. “Thanks mate, I appreciate it. See you Monday.”

Wrexham visit Birmingham on Monday, with Brady called up for Saints-Cowboys on Sunday afternoon, which would mean a quick flight from Texas to England if he were to attend the game in person.

Birmingham and Wrexham have both made good starts to the League One season, with two of the division’s three teams still undefeated, alongside Stockport.
