Tom Brady and Steph Curry send Lionel Messi a ‘welcome to Miami’ message as he joins David Beckham’s MLS team – and US coach Gregg Berhalter joins in too

Tom Brady, Steph Curry and USMNT coach Gregg Berhalter all had a hand in welcoming Lionel Messi to Inter Miami on Sunday night.

The trio were all featured in a video played at the DRV PNK stadium on Sunday in which they wish Messi well as he heads to Miami and gears up for a career in Major League Soccer.

Now Miami has shared the video itself in which two of the ultimate stars of American sports give Messi their regards.

“Leo, I just wanted to congratulate you on the big move to Miami,” Brady — who is friends with Miami co-owner David Beckham — says in the short clip.

Beckham also brought in Steph Curry. The Golden State Warriors star says, “Yo, Messi. It’s Stephan Curry man.

Messi was welcomed by 20,000 fans in a ceremony in Miami on Sunday night

“I just want to say congratulations on the transition and good luck — I know it’s a new beginning.”

USA coach Berhalter also appeared and said, “Hey Leo, this is Gregg Berhlater – I want to welcome you to Inter Miami and the United States.”

Miami crammed 20,000 fans into their stadium to welcome Messi in a ceremony on Sunday evening.

The Argentina World Cup winner is expected to make his debut for the team on Friday in a League Cup tie against Cruz Azul.

Messi himself spoke to the crowd on Sunday, telling his new fans: “Thank you very much.

“First of all I want to thank all the people of Miami for this welcome, this affection. I want to thank you for the kindness and love you have given me. This happened so fast.

“I’m very happy to be here, to be with you. I would like to thank Jose (Mas, co-owner of Miami), David (Beckham) for the welcome.

Gregg Berhalter, the coach of the US team, also joined in with a welcome message

‘They make it easy for us, everything has been spectacular since we arrived. I really want to train and race. I want to win so that the club can continue to grow.
