Tom Brady, 47, takes on his teenage son Jack in a pickup basketball game… with hilarious results

Tom Brady recently traded the gridiron for the hardwood, and things didn’t go exactly as the NFL legend had hoped.

The 47-year-old and his eldest child – 17-year-old Jack – headed to Lifetime Sky in New York City for a basketball run, documented on Brady’s YouTube page.

And the teenager beat his father a few times when the seven-time Super Bowl winner and his son played on opposing teams.

At one point, Brady tried to chase down Jack for a block on a fast break, but missed as his son scored an easy layup.

Another moment shows Brady going for a steal as Jack drives through the lane, then his son passes him for another score.

Brady managed to beat Jack at least once, as the video showed him cutting past him without the ball before converting a layup.

Nevertheless, he was clearly a little humbled when asked by an off-camera voice what he thought of his performance.

“Not exactly as I remember it,” he said, before admitting that Jack’s basketball skills were superior to his own.

The ultra-competitive Brady also hit the ball off the wall at one point, though he ultimately was all smiles when interviewed after his game.

Earlier in the video, Brady also tried his hand at hockey, with NHL legend Tie Domi hilariously giving him a quick fighting lesson.

Since retiring for the second (and final) time in February 2023, Brady has stayed with the game, both as a Fox NFL broadcaster and as a minority owner of the Raiders (the latter deal closed last month).

However, the ex-quarterback’s unusual dual role has attracted a lot of criticism, including from radio host Dan Patrick.

Brady is banned from attending team practices before calling their games, like most broadcasters, while his role as owner also means he is banned from publicly criticizing officials.

And Patrick said recently on his show“It’s problematic when Tom tries to do both things.”

Nevertheless, Brady will continue in his broadcasting role, with his final assignment being this weekend’s game between the Bucs and 49ers.
