Two new Pokémon Squishmallows – Togepi and Snorlax – will hit stores this weekend, a Jazwares representative confirmed to Polygon on Friday. If you’re looking for a new friend to cuddle, you’ll need to be quick when they release: the Gengar and Pikachu drop sold out immediately, and certain sizes remain hard to find. Togepi and Snorlax come in different sizes.
Those from the Pokémon Center store come with a Pokémon Center badge on the back, a distinction only Squishmallows sold on the official store have. Target, Walmart, and Amazon are also three confirmed retailers for various sizes of both new plushies. Box Lunch and Hot Topic are also expected to get the new Squismallows.
The Pokémon Company and Jazwares officially announced the new additions to the Squishmallow line at the end of February, promising a spring release date. The companies shared an adorable video of all four Pokémon Squishmallows FaceTime each other.
Presumably these will come in the same sizes as Pikachu and Gengar, which range from 10 inches to 20 inches. (The 20-inch Squishmallows are huge!) The large plush lends itself particularly well to Snorlax, which is known for its size. The Squishmallow won’t be as gargantuan as the $400 Snorlax plush, but a better option for those of us with less space.
