Toe-curling moment Putin crony Kadyrov performs bizarre standing press ups then looks around for Russian minister’s reaction… but it’s not exactly what he hoped for

This is the bizarre moment Chechen warlord Ramzan Kadyrov started performing standing push-ups at a BRICS meeting in an apparent attempt to impress ministers with his strength.

Video footage taken of an informal meeting between Putin and the UAE president at the BRICS summit, where the Russian leader sought to persuade the leaders of about 20 countries to deepen ties with his country. Kadyrov was seen leaning on two chairs and repeatedly doing leaning push-ups.

After a few push-ups, he was seen looking around in an apparent bid for approval.

But no one, including Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov who was also present, seemed to give the bloodthirsty warlord any time, causing him to lean somberly on two chairs.

This isn’t the first time Kadyrov has been seen desperately trying to prove his strength amid rumors of his poor health.

Earlier this year, he released a series of clips in which he tries to prove his good health amid reports that he is suffering from a terminal illness.

But he stood there somberly when he realized no one was looking

The head of the Chechen Republic posted videos of himself in a gym along with his acolytes.

He was shown in the gym with his closest cronies, but the camera angles appeared to hide his bloated stomach – and it was not clear when the clip was filmed.

A commentary by opposition channel Gulagu said: ‘Who did Ramzan decide to film this for and why did he think there were so many idiots around?

“It only takes a minute for an amateur athlete, not to mention a professional, to understand the level of Kadyrov’s physical fitness – that’s just not good.”

He “pushes and puffs with 7kg and 14kg dumbbells, used by young girls and ambitious teenagers for warm-up,” Gulagu wrote.

“It is clear that the idea of filming this video failed and the authors turned Ramzan into a clown and a weakling.”

That same week, he was seen talking slowly and monotonously to his top aides — many of them in uniform — in a video released to show he was in control.

Another clip showed him chairing a meeting of his top commanders and officials

But his impetuous words seemed deeply confused and his subordinates seemed embarrassed as he demanded that everyone be armed and ready to defend Russia.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re a police officer, a first responder, a justice or a judge – everyone should own a gun,” he said.

“He must know that at any time he must go to fighting positions to defend the motherland.

“When the Motherland calls, everyone must stand guard over our state.”

His enigmatic gibberish continued: “There is the Public Prosecution Service, there is the Commission of Inquiry, so they can train their own people to work with headquarters.

‘The Commander in Chief [dictator Vladimir Putin]Commanders and Ministers of Defense know this headquarters. And they thank us for introducing such a system [Chechnya].

Chechen warlord and key Putin ally Ramzan Kadyrov, 47, shown in a gym with his leading acolytes in a bid to prove he is sane

The scenes only reinforced suspicions that the 47-year-old autocrat – a key ally of Putin and backer of his war against Ukraine – is seriously ill, as critics said he looked like a “clown or a weakling.”

‘We support our men who fight for the truth, for religion, for the people, for human values.

“I ask you again that you deal not only with internal, Chechen issues, but also with new areas [invaded Ukraine]as directed by the President.”

Kadyrov – a father of at least 14 children, who is believed to have three wives in a polygamous family – has lately paid tribute to his children, some of whom hold key positions in the government.

In November 2022, in a crazy move, he appointed his then 15-year-old son Adam as head of his security service, which consisted of hundreds of armed officers.

But Putin is rumored to have named a military commander loyal to Kadyrov as his successor: Major General Apti Alaudinov, 50.

Kadyrov is one of Vladimir Putin’s closest allies, who has contributed tens of thousands of troops to his illegal war in Ukraine.
