A little girl was playing in her backyard when she was suddenly attacked by a kangaroo. The shocking attack was captured on CCTV.
The two-year-old was just meters away from her parents on a rural New South Wales property on Saturday when a kangaroo lunged at her and kicked her backwards.
The kangaroo then jumped back onto the fallen child and appeared ready to attack the toddler again before her father rushed to her aid and tried to throw something at the animal.

The marsupial then turned and ran off to join other kangaroos that could be seen in the distance.
The father quickly picked up his daughter and ran back to their home with her in his arms, as seen in the footage obtained by ViralHog.
“Our two-year-old was attacked by a kangaroo in our garden on Saturday,” the girl’s mother wrote.
“This young male charged at her and growled and growled as he attacked.
‘We are very grateful that she was wearing thick clothes and that her father and I were close (less than 5 meters) and were able to stop the attack.
“She finally tried to kick it back. Bless her.’
The two-year-old suffered minor injuries in the attack and was fortunately left with only bruises and scratches.
