Todd Chrisley’s mother Nanny Faye, 80, reveals her bladder cancer is in REMISSION two years after she was diagnosed – as she praises her ‘precious’ grandkids for caring for her while her son is in JAIL

Todd Chrisley’s mother Nanny Faye has revealed she is in remission, two years after she was diagnosed with bladder cancer.

The 80-year-old reality TV star announced the news on her granddaughter Lindsie Chrisley’s podcast, The Southern Tea, and recalled how she was set to undergo her next treatment until recent scans showed ‘no cancer’.

“As far as my health goes, everyone knows I had bladder cancer,” she told 34-year-old Lindsie. “I’m in remission, thank God. I’ve been moving around and trying my best.”

Lindsie replied, “That makes me so happy. When I got the call that your scans were clear it was such a relief and I’m sure everyone else in our family felt exactly the same way.’

When asked if she needs any further treatment, she said: ‘No, (the doctor) said my PET scan was clear, no cancer anywhere, so I didn’t need to do my next treatment, but I have to come back in three months . , everything looks good, so let’s move on.’

She added, “Well, I’m blessed every day. My grandchildren are good to me… they are all individual, one day one of them may be my favorite, the next day they may be in the back line, but I love them all, they are valuable to me .’

In February, Nanny Faye spoke openly about her battle with cancer on her granddaughter Savannah Chrisley’s Unlocked podcast.

‘I am amazing. The world doesn’t always give you a good deck of cards to play with, so play with them as best you can. You get up, brush yourself off and keep going,” she said at the time.

‘I go to bed early and get up early. It makes you healthy, rich and wise,” she added, as Savannah described her as a “champion” while undergoing chemotherapy.

“She was going to get her chemo treatment, the next day she was going to come in for the count and then she was going to be in the car on the way to the casino,” Savannah revealed.

The 26-year-old sat down with Nanny Faye to discuss continuing her treatment without her son Todd and his wife Julie by her side.

The disgraced couple are currently serving a 16-year prison sentence after being found guilty of a $30 million tax fraud scheme.

“If we’re honest about it, everyone knows that mom and dad were your main caregivers,” Savannah said, while Nanny Faye admitted it had been “really hard.”

“There wasn’t a single treatment (for my bladder cancer) where my precious daughter-in-law wasn’t with me – not once has she been with me,” she revealed, referring to Julie.

Todd, who is serving his prison sentence at the Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Florida, first opened up about his mother’s cancer diagnosis on his Chrisley Confessions podcast in June 2022.

“My mother was diagnosed with bladder cancer and so she is in treatment, and we have been dealing with that treatment on a weekly basis,” he said, confirming that she was first diagnosed in the fall of 2021.

“I would like people to respect that she is 77 years old and that she is fighting for her life,” he added.

“I pray every day, several times a day, that God would keep a healing hand on her. Everyone goes through trials and we are no different than anyone else.”
