Today is your last chance to save on Warhammer 40K: Boltgun before launch

Warhammer 40K occasionally deals with lore that spans the universe, but it also deals with purifying heretics in the name of empire. Satisfying, Warhammer 40K: Bolt gun tends more towards the latter.

If you were planning to play Warhammer 40K: Bolt gun tomorrow, but haven’t pre-ordered a copy on Steam yet, there’s still a chance to save a few bucks if you pre-order through Fanatical instead, you can pick up a copy for $18.25 (normally $21.99). While Steam is still discounting pre-orders until launch on May 23, it’s still the cheapest way to add the Warhammer-flavored boomer shooter to your library if you’re willing to go the extra mile. This deal is exclusive to the Steam version of the game, but it’s worth noting that Boltgun will also be available on Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.

Bolt gun seems to follow the growing trend of modernized boomer shooters Dusk, ProdeusAnd ultra kill, which features low-poly textures, breakneck speeds, and gory mountains, reminiscent of the driving principles of games from the early to mid-1990s. (the best kind of nineties IMHO). While I wouldn’t call myself a “Boomer”, I’m all for games that strip the exposition in favor of picking everything else to 11.
