Shock moment Today breakfast show hosts make fun of passerby and mock her attire during live cross on the Gold Coast
The Today breakfast show welcomed shocked viewers on Wednesday when they mocked a woman walking past one of their reporters on the Gold Coast.
Reporter Mia Glover pointed and laughed at passersby because of her attire during her morning livecross with the Sydney studio.
Co-hosts Karl Stefanovic and Sarah Abo burst out laughing in the studio, saying the woman’s outfit made her look like she was in a Hitchcock film.
“It looks like they’re all extras on a set, doesn’t it, on the Gold Coast,” said Karl, 49, as he looked on camera at the early risers taking a stroll behind Mia.
As Mia laughed at the joke, Karl went on to say it was like being “at Movie World.”

At that moment, the television host saw a woman approaching while holding a black umbrella to protect her face from the sun.
Apparently looking for a leisurely stroll, she hid her eyes behind dark sunglasses and shielded her face from the light with the brolly.
She completed the look with a long black skirt and a red button-up shirt.

‘Here we go, there’s the umbrella lady. Alfred Hitchcock there,” he said, referring to the famed film director known for his moody films.
When Mia saw the woman coming up behind her, the reporter pointed and winced with laughter.
‘Pointing at her. Don’t shame her,” said co-host Sarah, 37, as the cameraman followed the woman as she walked past a smiling Mia.
Meanwhile, co-hosts Karl Stefanovic and Sarah Abo burst out laughing in the studio, saying the woman’s clothes made her look like she was in a Hitchcock film.
“That’s terrible,” Karl said, despite being in tears over the joke.
“(Mia) is a funny woman,” he added, as his colleague then pretended to creep up behind the passerby.
The woman made no comment or indicated that she heard Mia mocking her.
