Today host Savannah Guthrie unveils the fast-food sandwich she eats for lunch “EVERY day of the week”… and it’s only 230 calories

Savannah Guthrie has opened the lid on the fast food sandwich she eats every day, and it’s safe to say she’s a devoted Starbucks customer.

The Today co-anchor opened up about her favorite foods — including her lunch order — for the fall issue of All recipes after becoming the first person to appear on the cover of the magazine.

Guthrie, 51, can get food from any restaurant or deli in New York City, but she opts for Starbucks’ Turkey Bacon, Cheddar & Egg White Sandwich instead.

“Embarrassingly, I eat (exactly the same thing) for lunch every day of the week,” the journalist admitted.

The Today co-anchor told Allrecipes that her go-to order is Starbucks’ Turkey Bacon, Cheddar & Egg White Sandwich

The Starbucks sandwich consists of turkey bacon and cage-free egg whites topped with low-fat white cheddar cheese on an English wheat muffin.

The high-protein menu item contains just 230 calories, 5 grams of fat and 2 grams of sugar, making it a healthier fast food option.

Guthrie, who hired all-star chefs to teach her how to cook on Today’s digital series Starting From Scratch, also makes her own chocolate energy balls to snack on when she’s craving “something sweet.”

“They have oats, nut butter, flax seed or chia seed, and of course chocolate. However, my husband (Mike Feldman) will eat them all if he finds them, so I have to hide them,” she explained.

Guthrie and Feldman live in New York City with their two children, Vale, nine, and Charley, six, and there’s no shortage of dining options for the family.

The mother of two said she likes to eat at the Mediterranean, Thai and Mexican restaurants nearby.

‘I like Mediterranean food: chicken shoarma with a good hummus and tzatziki sauce, or a gyro. And I love Mexican food, which makes sense because I grew up in the Southwest,” she said.

However, when asked what she would choose for her last meal, she opted for a classic combo: “a large cheeseburger, fries, and a chocolate milkshake.”

“I like a milkshake more than is fair,” she added.

Guthrie’s cover interview came out just weeks after she revealed her incredibly early dinner time on the Today show.

She stunned co-anchor Hoda Kotb, 58, last month when she admitted she likes to dine late — which makes sense when you wake up at 4 a.m. every morning.

“Gotta tell you, I love 4:00 (dinner),” Guthrie said, eliciting a cry from Kotb, who was sitting next to her.

“I like to sit down, have a little glass of wine, some snacks, whatever,” she continued. “(I’m) home at six, in bed at seven. Tree!’

Kotb may have been surprised by Guthrie’s favorite mealtime, but she understands the appeal.

“I’ve always loved the early dinner,” she said. “There’s no one there, you get the vibe, you get a table you want — it’s great.”

The Today stars are used to waking up for work in the wee hours of the morning, and a few months ago, Guthrie opened up about her routine.

“Usually my alarm goes off at 4am,” she explained in a video shared on Instagram. “If I have something important for the show, it might go off at 3 a.m., and if it’s a slacker Friday, it might go off at 4:30 a.m.”

She is usually picked up at 5:00 AM and arrives at the studio at 5:30 AM. She meets her glam squad and changes clothes before going through the screen and sound checks for the 7 o’clock show.
