Today Show financial advisor makes a menacing threat to her work colleague live on air amid stoush over car space: ‘Move that thing’
Live on the Today Show, a heated exchange broke out between financial commentator Effie Zahos and the show’s technology guru, Trevor Long.
The pair are arguing over a parking space at the Channel Nine studios in Sydney.
Host Karl Stefanovic expressed his concerns about the relationship between the two on Thursday and investigated what has widened the rift between them.
“Karl, I didn’t really want to talk about this on national television… I was embarrassed this morning,” Effie began.
“Actually, I want you to move that thing you call a car out of my parking space, Trevor,” Effie declared, drawing shocked reactions from her colleagues.
The unexpected confrontation left co-host Sarah Abo stunned: “That took a turn, I didn’t expect that, Karlos,” she noted.
Effie continued, “I’m only gone for three days and I drive to the Channel Nine car park this morning and Trevor’s car is there.”
The story took a new twist on Friday when Trevor Long posted a video on Instagram in response.

The clip shows the tech expert pulling into a parking lot with a “reserved” sign with his name on it.
“Excuse me, what is this Effie?” he said, pointing to the board.
“Effie, it’s all right, you can park here all week. I’ll be in Paris then, so everything’s yours,” he boasted.
He didn’t stop there, adding: ‘And this thing I call a car is fully electric. So, financially speaking, it’s a very good decision because it saves money year after year on running costs. A little advice for you: go electric.’
