The couple married in 2005 and have fourteen children: four sets of naturally conceived multiples – quintuplets, two sets of twins and triplets – and two other pregnancies.

Karen and Deon are parents of 13-year-old Derrick; 12-year-old twins Dallas and Denver; 10-year-old quintuplets Deonee, Daician, Daiten, Deniko and Dariz; the six-year-old Diez and Dior; and four-year-old triplets Dawsyn, De’Aren and Dyver.

Their eldest child, Darian, is 18 years old.

According to TMZ, Deon pays $1,166 in child support per month and Karen is responsible for paying for the children’s health insurance.

The couple started documenting their large family in 2020 on their TLC show Doubling Down With The Derricos.

The couple have faced criticism in the past for their large brood, with critics claiming she was unable to give each child one-on-one care and that her home was too ‘chaotic’.

Karen, who often said she planned to have “as many children as God blesses her,” fired back at the trolls last year.

The mother of 14 had said at the time that she had plans to expand their family.

When they first had children, their family grew at a “normal” pace, but Karen soon had several children at once.

She revealed that trolls often claimed that she “couldn’t love all her kids,” that her house was a mess, that she was “overwhelmed,” that the multiple pregnancies were “hard” on her body and that “black families are different.” ‘ But Karen disagrees.

She noted that both she and her husband work from home so they could homeschool the children and help them find their passion.

She then fired back at trolls who assumed her house was always a mess due to the large number of children running around.

Karen, who was a kindergarten teacher, revealed that her time as a classroom leader helped prepare her for keeping an organized home despite having a large number of children.

She said, “If I can keep a classroom in order, I can keep a house in order.”

The mother explained that she has taught all her children to tidy up after themselves, adding that they never leave a room messy.

She also revealed that they have introduced rules such as no shouting and strict bedtimes to ensure there is no chaos.

In the past, Karen has listed the costs of having such a large brood.

She revealed they “easily” spend $3,500 a month at the supermarket, using about 15 packs of waffles and 20 rolls of toilet paper a week.

The amount of money we spend on groceries, oh my god. $2,500 to $3,500, easy,” Karen said in a video.

She also revealed that she designed 18 loads of laundry a week to keep everyone in clean clothes.
