TLC has canceled two shows in the Northeast this weekend after T-Boz experienced health issues.
The band canceled their Friday night performance at the New York State Fair in Syracuse 30 minutes before the show because they believed T-Boz, whose real name is Tionne Watkins, had simple food poisoning.
“Shortly after arriving in Syracuse, Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins experienced sudden and severe nausea, vomiting and severe abdominal cramps,” a press release from the band said.
‘She was immediately examined by a doctor and then taken to hospital for further evaluation.’
But when doctors examined her, it turned out she had a stomach blockage, which also forced the band to cancel their concert on Saturday at Foxwoods in Connecticut.

“The doctor determined that it was not food poisoning, but a blockage in the abdomen,” the statement said.
‘Tionne deeply regrets having to cancel these shows and offers her sincere apologies to all her fans and the event organizers.
‘The decision to cancel was taken on the advice of her doctor, who requested that she stay in hospital overnight to undergo a CT scan to assess the severity of her condition.’
The No Scrubs singer was still in the hospital on Saturday and was expected to be discharged on Sunday.
The band is now a duo consisting of T-Boz and Rozonda ‘Chilli’ Thomas following the death of Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes in 2002.
The New York State Fair photographer posted the cancellation message on Instagram.
He wrote: ‘BREAKING: Possibly the biggest show of the year – TLC at @newyorkstatefair has been cancelled, announced at 7:30pm, they also didn’t show up for soundcheck in the afternoon.’
He later added to the post: ‘UPDATE: According to TLC’s official social media, it was not food poisoning, but an extended hospital stay due to an abdominal blockage.’
