TJ Holmes and Amy Robach spend Christmas apart and with their kids as marriage talk fills their podcast more than a year after their shock affair led to their firing from GMA

Ousted GMA3 hosts TJ Holmes and Amy Robach celebrated Christmas separately this year, each spending time with their children from previous relationships.

While the two talk about a possible marriage on their podcast, they chose to spend the holidays separately with their children.

Both former anchors posted photos with their kids before Christmas, but despite being apart, they still had funny jokes. Robach celebrated with her teenage daughters, while Holmes was with his 10-year-old daughter.

Robach hopped on her social platform to thank her boyfriend for a playful gift he gave her: a trivia quiz about β€œElf,” the now-classic Will Ferrell Christmas comedy.

The two lovebirds have been romancing since their affair came to light over a year ago, leading to their TV ouster. Their exes are now starting to date each other too.

Robach, 50, celebrated the holiday with her two teenage daughters, Ava, 19, and Annalize, 16, from her first marriage to Tim McIntosh.

In an Instagram Story on Christmas Eve, Robach shared a photo of her family's steak dinner, as well as some kitchen antics with her daughters, and a large tray of homemade macaroni and cheese.

The fit mother-of-two was married to actor Andrew Shue until last year and was stepmother to his three sons from a previous marriage.

Holmes, 46, spent the holidays with his 10-year-old daughter Sabine, whom he shares with Marilee Fiebig, his ex-wife. The duo spent Christmas Eve together watching scary movies, as well as the holiday action classic Die Hard.

The charismatic host documented his young daughter's growing curiosity about her presents as the hours passed until Christmas morning.

In an Instagram story, he wrote, “That time when kids start counting and shaking their presents.”

Holmes shares two more children, Brianna and Jaiden, with his first wife, Amy Ferson.

Holmes, 46, and Robach, 50, met as co-hosts on Good Morning America. Their entanglement was first revealed by Dailymail.com last year

Both Robach and Holmes officially broke up when Dailymail.com revealed news of their relationship.

The hosts each say they were already in the middle of divorce proceedings when their relationship came to light.

On the couple's recently debuted podcast “Amy & TJ,” Holmes said, “To be clear, we were outed because we were in a relationship, but everyone else thought we were outed as adulterers β€” because we spouses cheat – and they do. was not the case.'

“We were both in divorce proceedings at the time.”

Robach added that they individually had β€œlawyers and mediators.” [and] were in the middle of divorces.”

After the unexpected relationship became public, the couple was taken off air in December 2022 and officially separated from their roles at ABC in January 2023.

Despite the dramatic exit, however, things seem to be largely working out for Holmes and Robach, who recently launched their podcast and even more recently discussed their potential marriage with their audience.

In a late December episode of the podcast, Holmes told listeners that he wants to marry Robach.

Robach, 50, said a wedding was “under consideration,” adding that the couple entered into a relationship “because we planned to spend our lives together.”

However, she continued, “We've both been through two marriages so it's not something we're racing or rushing towards.”

In response, Holmes, 46, joked about a “little box” waiting under the Christmas tree this year, saying, “I want to marry you partly because you're 50 and I'm 46. And I'm very I'm tired of to introduce a 50-year-old woman as my girlfriend.'

Callers grilled the former colleagues about their love lives during the Q&A portion of the episode.

When Holmes commented that it sounded “stupid” to refer to a 50-year-old woman as his girlfriend, Robach playfully shot back.

A few weeks ago, the duo announced their podcast last month via a joint Instagram post that read, β€œHow is this Instagram official? #silentnomore.”

The first episode was released on December 5, exactly one year after Holmes and Robach were fired from Good Morning America.

The journalists were 'temporarily removed' from the show last year after rumors about their affair began to circulate. After an internal investigation, they were officially released on January 27.

DailyMail.com was the first to expose their entanglement, after photographers captured the duo at a retreat in upstate New York.

On November 10, 2022 β€” one day before the now infamous weekend getaway β€” the pair was spotted at O'Donoghue's bar in Times Square, hours after pre-recording their daily segment.

“They were absolutely crazy about each other,” an eyewitness told DailyMail.com.

β€œShe giggled at what he said, and they looked at each other's phones. At one point she danced a little in her chair to the music and laughed so hard she almost fell on his lap.”

The next day, Holmes was seen leaving his apartment with a backpack and duffel bag, and, after a morning shoot, heading to a West Village restaurant near Robach's apartment.

Moments later, he turned the corner and walked up the block to where Robach was waiting to pick him up in her BMW convertible.

The pair embarked on a two-hour drive north of the city to the Shawangunk Mountains, where they checked into a cabin in the wilderness.

They left on November 13 and Holmes was seen grabbing Robach by the back as she bent down to pack the car.

They spent the weekend in a rented cottage and checked it out on November 13. Holmes patted Robach's butt as she loaded the car.

In another turn of events, it was revealed on December 5 – the same day the first podcast episode dropped – that the couple's scorned exes had been dating for about six months.

Fiebig and Shue's relationship came to light almost a year later, with insiders confirming that the two became close following their exes' scandalous romance.

On Friday, the two got into his green Jeep Wrangler before heading out for the weekend.

The couple has reportedly bonded over the experience of seeing their marriage crumble so publicly.
