TJ Holmes stated that his partner Amy Robach won’t find an engagement ring in her stocking on Christmas, and his lover said she doesn’t want one.
Holmes, 47, who was injured while running the Chicago Marathon in October, explained the reason in the couple’s podcast Amy & TJ in the episode released on Christmas Day.
The 51-year-old Robach made it clear during the conversation that she was not interested in combining a marriage proposal with the holidays.
The pair discussed the most popular day for proposals, which their research revealed was Christmas Day.
‘I actually don’t like to divide holidays with special events. I like to let special events be their own special event,” Robach said.
Later she gave some sage advice. “If you have a big proposal for a big vacation, you’re always going to take something away from that vacation if it doesn’t work out, just something to think about,” she said.

The discussion came up in a question-and-answer episode, inspired by fans’ questions about their possible futures.
“And no, obviously there won’t be, for anyone wondering – there won’t be a Christmas Day proposal,” Holmes told the audience.
Later in the conversation, the couple, who have both been married twice, discussed their previous proposals.
Robach, who was married to former MLB player Tim McIntosh from 1996 to 2008 and to actor Andrew Shue from 2010 to 2023, said she had been proposed in the past on “random days that had no meaning whatsoever.”
Holmes, who was married to fellow journalist Amy Ferson from 2004 to 2007 and to attorney Marilee Fiebig from 2010 to 2023, said: “Random and insignificant, I think that’s a way to describe a lot.”
In an unusual twist of fate, Shue and Fiebig started dating shortly after their divorce.
They have managed to create a blended family, including Robach’s daughters Ava, almost 22, and Analise, 18, from her first marriage, and Holmes’ children Brianna and Jaiden from his marriage to Ferson and daughter Sabine, 11, whom he shares with Fiebig.
Holmes and Robach met while working on the third hour of Good Morning America, and both claim their marriage was in trouble before they fell in love.
The couple made the comments on the latest episode of their Amy & TJ podcast, which aired on December 25. ‘I actually don’t like to share holidays with special events. I like to let special events be their own special event,” Robach said

They were suspended from their hosting duties in December 2022 and officially terminated in January 2023. They launched their podcast in December of the same year.
The partners in love and business said in a previous episode about an upcoming proposal, “It’s not an if, it’s a when.”
The couple also launched a new show, Morning Run, in September.
In that podcast they return to their journalistic roots, with daily news, entertainment and lifestyle headlines.
