Tennessee Titians rookie Treylon Burks leaves the game in concussion protocol after holding on for his first career touchdown reception via BRUTAL punch to the face
Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Treylon Burks was placed in concussion protocol after leaving the game following a massive hit on his first career touchdown reception in the Eagles’ 35-10 victory.
The play occurred on the second drive of the game when Burks hauled in a 25-yard touchdown pass and took a helmet straight to the mask of Eagles safety Marcus Epps.
Epps was penalized 15 yards for unnecessary roughness and will likely be fined by the NFL later in the week. Burks, on the other hand, lay on the ground for an extended period of time before walking into the locker room.

He was evaluated in the locker room before being ruled out for the second period of play.
As for the rest of the game, former Titan AJ Brown had a field day against the team that decided to trade him to Philadelphia this offseason after he had eight receptions, 119 yards and two touchdowns.
Watching Brown’s way early and often, Jalen Hurts strengthened his MVP bid by throwing for 380 yards and three touchdowns and rushing for another score.

Hurts has led the Eagles to an 11-1 start, his first time with that record since 2004 and the fourth time in franchise history. The 1949 Eagles won the NFL championship. The 1980 and 2004 teams lost in the Super Bowl.

Hurts was all they really needed to get one step closer to a playoff spot.
“We’ll leave all the MVP stuff to whoever votes for all of that,” Brown said. “But he is doing a great job leading this team. He is a great leader. He is still climbing. He wants the team to be great.
The quick, sure-fire quarterback set a career-high with 29 total touchdowns and had his third career game with four total TDs. Just the first half of it was a pretty good game for most quarterbacks: 268 passing yards and two touchdowns with a rushing score.
The Eagles’ defense was also top notch, stifling Derrick Henry, who had 11 carries for 30 yards, and holding Ryan Tannehill to 141 passing yards and a touchdown. He was fired six times. The Titans (7-5) lost for the second straight time but still hold a comfortable lead in the AFC South.
